In line with Tucker saying they'd be doing things we've never seen before, Boy Gavin just appointed a MD resident to be senator for CA.

Clearly this is a "placeholder" to assure Dem Senate majority and votes in interim. Senate is a pay cut for her so once they figure out Zhou/Kamala issue, she'll do as ordered and resign if needed for Kamala to get the Senate spot (probably for life).

Shrewd, Mike. However it works, I think you're right that this is a ploy looking forward.

That just floors me! Will the braindead CA voters be outraged, or will they be good little democrats and accept that someone who does not live in CA will "represent" them. This seems so unconstitutional!! Why would anyone in CA accept this?

Tucker: "They’re doing things that can’t even on an academic level conceivably help a. the United States or b. the population that lives here." Very well said.

a. The United States is definitely not functioning as a nation filled with citizens inside a geographic border, who vote people into power.

b. The population that lives here has been quite handily decomposed into identities and recomposed into identity groups; each group is made to feel that its group interest is being well-served.

Laphonza Butler? Identifies as black and gay and a woman; has most recently worked for pay in advancing the cause of reproductive justice for... lesbians? who get raped? by transwomen? transmen? who get raped? by gays? Not sure. I think lesbians hate women almost as much as gays hate women. For Butler et alia, America is succeeding at long last in delivering on the promise of freedom from unchosen bonds.

Tucker is spot on with his predictions about the next 12 months. I am firmly convinced that what we will see during that period is going to be historically consequential for this country and I’m not at all suggesting it will be in a good sense. I try to stay optimistic, but with each passing day it becomes harder and harder to think that this will end well.

Why do uniparty / deepstate critics keep on getting kneecapped with sex hit jobs?

Examples:

- Russel Brand

- Julian Assange

- Trump

- Gaetz

- Rep from Colorado

- Rep Green

Because they can, unfortunately. When accountability doesn't exist, abhorrent behavior becomes normalized.

Because it is the easiest hit job to get rolling. Headline rumor-gossip making material stuck in he-said-she-said land: basically, un-refutable mud-slinging. Press is only too happy to oblige if the target is not a dem

Yep

Kavanaugh - a boy scout got slimed bad. It’s amazing he survived.

More:

- Herman Cain mistress

- Milo Yianopholis - basically same words as George Takei and got canceled.

- McCain mistress

- Kristi Noem the South Dakota governor

No idea if true or false, but I note how one sided.

Harvey Silverstein I am guessing was sacrificed to get Trump. Or payback to Hillary.

Yet Biden’s accusation is ignored.

The problem with Matt Gaetz plan to alert the American people about the uniparty is if they can’t see dangers in a vax that is literally killing people how are they going to wake up to the reality of the US government. The Dems are willfully going along with this so even if they knew the truth they wouldn’t admit it

What happens if the D's don't vote for Kev, and offer Hakeem Jeffries as the replacement?

To me, that could eventually end up with Gaetz supporting Kev, to retain R control of the House.

Which would make Gaetz less influential going forward.

My view, too. I think this is good. 90 GOPers voted against Kev's deal. That's significant. Gaetz's ref to Scalise shows he's not holding out for himself. He's holding out for someone who will keep his word.

Won't happen, but critical to lay down a marker and get votes on the record. Nothing changes until Uniparty hold on power is broken. This is really a move to position for 2024 spot.

Separately is news this morning that Newsom is appointing someone from his inner circle to Senate...he's positioning for run and knows he'll be the Dem replacement for Zhou. Will be great to have a friend in the Senate.

Suggest Newsom keeps an eye on Hillary, who won't concede this last opportunity....especially if she can run against "The Donald"

You don't know what you're talking/writing about. A VP who is moved up to POTUS by death or removal of the previous POTUS does NOT GET TO APPOINT A VP. The POTUS nominates, but the new VP has to be confirmed by majority vote of House and Senate. That is 25th amendment section 2 (1967). Prior to 1967 VP vacancies (of which there were 16) remained vacant until the next election.

Nor is the Speaker in the line of succession by "tradition". It's by the most recent Presidential Succession Act (1947). However, there have been presidential succession acts changing the order of succession. The current order reflects the order in the earliest presidential succession act--1792.

Appoint Gingrich to be Speaker. This is possible because Speaker is not required to be a current House member.
