Xi's comments in Moscow about the need for a "just and lasting peace" mirror those of Russia and carry the same meaning. China will not act as the U.S.'s agent toward negotiating a cease fire without meeting said conditions (as set by Russia). If Trump thinks China will be a wedge against Russia to help establish a cease fire he is sadly mistaken.
Right. Trump is trying to disguise a ceasefire as "peace"--it's a ploy. Putin knows, Xi knows it. Trump isn't proposing a "treaty," he's proposing various "agreements" to get to a ceasefire short of an actual treaty. Only a treaty could give a "just and lasting peace". Not a ceasefire.
I happened to read that it is claimed - The US Urkaine Mineral Deal is far from completed
and might never be.
I understood from Trump / Western PR that it was completed
The draft framework agreement was completed
" At the same time, there are at least two additional agreements, which the Ukrainian government calls technical. They have not been published, and the Ukrainian government insists that negotiations on them are still underway.
Although many insiders and media outlets - both Ukrainian and Western - write that these documents have already been signed by the government.
And the most important points of the deal, as well as the advantages for the Americans, are contained in them. "
" the Rada's foreign affairs committee, which recommended ratifying the [initial] agreement, made an important reservation yesterday . According to it, "any additional agreements necessary for the implementation of the agreement... may not go beyond the provisions of this agreement and establish international legal obligations for Ukraine that are not provided for by it,"

ost people assume that Pakistan backed the terrorists, but the Pakistan defense minister had an interesting response to the accusation: **Not this time! This time it was a false flag attack! And, anyway, in the past we were doing it for the Anglo-Zionists!**

Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has called the recent terrorist attack in Kashmir's Pahalgam region a "False Flag operation" and warned that continued tensions could lead to a full-scale war between the two nuclear-armed countries.
Reporter: "You do admit that Pakistan has a long history of supporting, training, funding these terrorist organizations"
Pakistan Defense Minister: “Well, we have been doing this dirty work for the United States & West—including the UK—for three decades...”

Why now? What could explain shadowy forces fomenting war between India and Pakistan?
My view still is Pakistan’s military supports these operations, and it’s more about Pakistani politics.
Keeping the India threat hyped results in huge economic support for the Pakistan military, while impoverishing the country. And justifies keeping the minorities, Baluchi, Pashtuns, etc. under foot. Pakistan is a real mishmash of different groups.
And plus throw in a bit of Wahabi Puritanical Islam in the Pakistani military, that Zia imported.
