So this is a brief morning update on Ukraine. Kudos go to CTH which last night presented the real story of what’s going on and who’s calling the shots. Surprise. It’s the US, the Zhou regime. Early reports that Ukraine was willing to negotiate with Russia were followed by a slowing of the Russian offensive, but all that has apparently been quashed. The subject line at CTH pretty much says it all:
What is the Odessa massacre Putin mentioned? I found little information when I went looking, which is suspicious. Putin brought up in his speech, and you would think there would be some curiosity in the Western Press.
Saker mentioned it in his analysis. He is pro Russian.
Another area I would like trustworthy information is the so called Ukrainian Fascist militia that got folded into the Ukrainian army. There seems to two narratives on the Ukrainian government. One is they are pure and for liberty and justice, and Democracy and global rights, basically as white as snow. The other they are Ukrainian nationalists that discriminate against ethnic Russians.
By tying itself to a reckless and dangerous America, the Ukrainians made a blunder that client states will study for years to come

The only thing missing was how much money was channeled from the Ukraine into US politics. And how many elite family members had Ukrainian investments / jobs. Hunter Biden was mentioned, but there are more. Mitt Romney’s 2012 national security advisor was on the Burisema board with Hunter Biden. Manafort for gop. Podestra brothers. Pelosi son. John Kerry’s step son.
Thanks, Ray. Lee is right about "a reckless and dangerous America". America is ruled by fanatical ideologues who reflexively refuse to look at reality and whose only notion of morality is getting their own way. It was bound to end badly. Now the rest of the world, probably starting with Poland, will be wondering: Can we count on America? But they already know the answer.
On Friday there was a showdown in the United Nations Security Council. Russia of course vetoed a formal denunciation of the invasion of Ukraine. The real surprise, however, came when the countries of China, India, and the United Arab Emirates abstained from the vote, with the remaining 11 council members voting in favor.
China, India, and UAE represent an outsized chunk of the global economy and their abstention strongly suggests that it won't be so easy to gain global adherence to a strong Washington and EU-led sanctions regimen.
The UN. What a waste of money. Toothless. Has this farcical conglomeration of self-important 'diplomats' that poses as an important global entity even issued a statement of condemnation? I doubt it.

Ray, you can't have looked hard:

Thanks - I thought there was one this year.
Tom Luongo has an insightful article at zerohedge:

He not mention how NATO took offensive actions in Libya and Serbia that went counter to claim they are only defensive. Or how Kosovo was created.

The most important news:

India is investigating going outside dollars for trade with Russia:

I discussed that in a comment yesterday, and see the new post today.
