Maria is fire. I'm fairly sure that in Hasan Nasrallah's 11/11 speech his reference to "people who talk too much" was aimed fairly widely but applies with perfect specificity to Erdogan. Russia has his card marked and has done for a long time.

Just adds weight to my contention that the neocons are sucking canal water if they think Putin is going to offer “any” opportunity for a face saving exit from the Ukraine, and now the ME, fiasco!

These idiots in DC are still in denial about who is holding the aces in this situation, but Putin knows full well that you reap what you sow and the bills are about to come due with a vengeance.

Maria's a savvy lady. Erdogan is just playing to the Muslim gallery and trying to position himself as "Leader of the Arab World" ahead of the Saudis and Iranians. Not an ally who can be trusted.

Erdogan is despised by many regular Turks, those that are not Islamic fanatics, but decent Muslims who are striving to live a decent life.

His (son's) tanker fleet. Which sold to Israel at a steep discount. That's where most of it was going. Not sure about now, but...

KInda makes sense as a bit of a payoff to Israel for their involvement in the Syrian operation.

The ref to "burghers" is, I believe, a ref to City of London, etc. Those types.
