My overall take is that the DC Cartel saw the Scamdemic control grid collapsing by November and decided to pivot to the old, reliable war control grid. Thus they did everything they could to bait and goad Putin into taking action in Ukraine. Having procured themselves a nice, little war which they imagine as Afghanistan 2 for Russia, the Cartel will use it to achieve multiple aims: 1) whip up war fever and rhetoric in the US to justify more controls and possible election theft again; 2) bring down Putin and install a another Globalist in Moscow who can be counted on to serve up Russia's prodigious wealth with sizable cuts to all Cartel members; 3) isolate China; 4) make the EU increasingly dependent upon the US.

The Cartel loosed a tiger and now they are scrambling to contain it.

Agree TD. I'm cautiously optimistic that there is a limit to how many times the gangsters can use the same brainwash techniques. We just ain't buying from these hucksters.

25th Amendment anyone? Jen? Imagine if Trump had said such things (Bluto) ? He’d already be in a padded cell somewhere…Mon Dieu I hope the scales fall from the eyes of the Euros…what more evidence of senility and unfitness for office do they need? But of course they’ve been asleep - the French since De Gaulle, who exited Nato, - unable and unwilling to criticize the military might they didn’t have to pay for…and now under the sway of Schwaub and co. All very disheartening.

The restraint of the Russians toward the U.S. and Europe is admirable if not incredible. It likely comes from knowing they are in a position of strength and will dictate the ultimate terms of resolving the present conflict. Just the same we should be very thankful they are not "hot heads."

It is all theatre, unfortunately a bloody performance. Putin and the West are one. It's all about creating chaos. Out of chaos creating order , as the elite define order. Our national leaders are puppets in a larger game. Joe Biden is of course controlled and a big joke, yet useful idiot. Now creating energy and food crisis. The beginning of chaos. The media is controlled or idiots.

@glenn

There's certainly a lot of debate out there about Putin and whether this Russian counterattack (because, afterall, the Ukrainian thugocracy has been shelling civilians in the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Luhansk since 2014) is part of a grand Globalist charade or if Putin is acting pursuant to vital (some may say existential) Russian interests.

The best any of us can say is, We don't know. I'd encourage anyone who wants the Donetsk reporting to check out Patrick Lancaster on telegram. Unlike other faux combat reporters who give long rants supporting the Regime narrative from their hotels and safe streets of Kiev -- Holton comes to mind), Lancaster drives into the front lines like Mariupol and gives video *he* shoots of front lines action. Warning: his video of a recent cluster munition attack by Ukrainian forces (Azov Battalion? ) on a Donetsk bus stop is pretty gruesome. Also recommend Xoachim Flores also on telegram and elsewhere who is in Belgrade but has studied Russia and Putin for years. Tom Luongo interviewed him recently and it was eye opening.

All this to say that we in the US are getting bombarded with propaganda and it seems that painting Putin and Russia as a globalist tool may be part of it. We don't know. But actions speak louder than words and it certainly *appears* that the Russian counterattack is designed to cut off a globalist attempt to complete the transformation of Ukraine into a de facto NATO base against Russia. Further, the reaction of the Globals and their extreme sanctions against Russia and their now explicit aim to remove Putin indicate that Russia is genuinely at war with the Globals.

So the enemy of my enemy is...

Hi,

Living in Europe quite close to Russia, we are now being bombarded with propaganda - completely bombed - against the Russians.

Not many are trying to see if the story has more than one side. After all, the story is given by the media. The truth has been lost on its way to the news. Is Putin opposed to the globalists - that is the core question? I am cynical on this issue. Waiting to take a position. I inform myself to the best of my ability and understand that there is a different story about the tactics of Russian forces than the one given in the media. We shall see. War is crap.

"Putin and the West are one."

I don't see it that way, though I am receptive to new facts.

Evidence is mounting that the Ukrainians were on the verge of starting the war (against the Donbass) themselves (ref. Tom Luongo). The Russians just decided when and where the fighting would occur.

Looking at the bigger picture logically, I can't imagine a proud nation, such as Russia, China, or Turkey, subsuming itself into a faceless global bureaucracy, certain to crush the spirit of every nation. Of course, in the US, UK, Canada, the groundwork has already been laid...

Hi,

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Putin has links to the WEF ?

Putin and is also a Freemason like most national leaders (?)

Furthermore, Russia has had the same harsh pressure on its citizens to vaccinate as in the West and with digital agenda.

There are reports that Mr. Kissinger made a deal with Yeltsin about who was suitable successor- Putin. Have no source but historian gave this fact in interview I happened to see. Maybe dead wrong.

So, which "side" is best for us? What do I know?

For now, my thesis is that chaos is being deliberately created as an agenda.

Oh boy am I going to catch hell for this, but this site is a smart one, and then some, so I'll roll the dice and hope most can see this as a sign of respect to it - which it is. (And Forbes is a consistently fabulous contributor to this site, and none of this has a thing to do with him personally - I'm just using some words in the above comment to make a point.)

"a fight against whomever is declared" should be "a fight against whoever is declared."

The verb IS must have a subject, and in this case that subject is the subject pronoun WHOEVER and not the object pronoun WHOMEVER.

In this particular case, the object of the preposition AGAINST is not the object pronoun that follows (i.e., WHOMEVER) but the object phrase that follows (i.e., WHOEVER IS DECLARED). All phrases must be internally logically consistent, so you can't use an object (WHOMEVER) to play the role of a subject (of the verb IS).

If the phrase went (for example) "a fight against whomever we wish," then WHOMEVER would be correct, but not as the object of the preposition AGAINST. The correct object of the preposition AGAINST would be the object phrase WHOMEVER WE WISH, and within that phrase, WHOMEVER would properly be the object of the verb WISH.

Big takeaway: objects of verbs or prepositions are commonly whole phrases, not just single words. In such cases, let the entire phrase be the object and then make sure the phrase makes grammatical sense standing alone. (After all, there's a reason we say things like "Let's strike a blow for we the people" and not "Let's strike a blow for us the people.")

Let the piling on begin, fine. If one or two appreciate the knowledge, I'll take it. I'll admit it bothers me perhaps more than it should that our schools refuse to teach something so critical to English as the difference between subjects and objects ("Jenny told Dave and I" or "It just wasn't fair to he and his partners" -- ARRGGHH - just shoot me!!), but then again, a nation that won't even teach how its own language works is a nation with problems, and keeping quiet about it doesn't really get us anywhere imho.

And I'll say it again: Forbes is awesome; none of this is to do with him.

I wonder how much we're spending on Ukraine-related (direct and indirect), & what that number will look like by the end of the year?
