Saw this article linked on Bongino. The Navy has apparently halted its up or out program to retain personnel. These are personnel who had previously failed to promote from their current paygrade and were destined to be discharged/retired at the length of service prescribed by the navy for that paygrade. This is a clear indication of a very poor recruiting environment. It will be interesting to see if the end of the military vaccine mandate changes the numbers, or if that is just one factor why recruiting has stalled; another being the 'woke' agenda of military leadership. Congress should be asking for the questionnaires completed by personnel being discharged before retirement to see if there are any common themes or reasons. I doubt many retired or former navy personnel are recommending the service today given the political and social agendas that have stigmatized it and the other uniformed services.

I learned long ago that anything published in the popular press was put there for a reason to serve someone’s interest. Mostly it is lies and misdirection are best.

Second point. As a veteran of the third armored division in Germany way back in the 1960’s I recall that we were told that our mission was to defend the Fulda gap from soviet invasion and to hold it for 72 hours while reinforcements would arrive. Most of us would not survive. We all saluted and said yes sir. I wonder how many woke trans soldiers sitting warm and comfortable in the u.s. would do the same when they are told they are being shipped to Ukraine in the middle of the freezing winter for a similar mission? Anybody who thinks those Patriot missiles are going to shoot themselves doesn’t understand the concept of mission creep.

Maybe we can ask the Taliban to return the $80B in arms we left behind in order to shore up our proxy engagement in Ukraine.

80B in Afghanistan, 100B in Ukraine. All in less than 18 months. Pretty soon, we’ll be talking about some real money…

From what I've read, the funding the U.S. is providing is paying for more than just war material; we're paying Ukrainian government salaries as crazy as that seems with money borrowed from our future generation(s) - not that there is any chance our debt will ever be paid off. Of course, the donkey party and McConnell republicans view any accountability for the funding provided as anti-Ukraine. If McCarthy does win the Speakership, he had better begin auditing the massive fraud that is undoubtedly a part of this massive welfare program. If he doesn't, a percentage of this money will be kicked back to donkey politicians so as to replace the now defunct Bankman-Fried cash cow.

Unfortunately kickbacks are bipartisan.

Larry Johnson is another writer doing the job the MSM should be doing if it were honest. The UK Daily Telegraph, for example, is calling Z's visit to DC a "triumph"! The articles mentioned only talk about quantity. I would also question the quality of the material being sent to Ukraine. Is it the right kind? Is it what the Ukrainians actually need? Are they capable of using it? The whole policy will fail and will do nothing to prevent a Russian victory in Ukraine. Then, as you mention, we are into a whole different scenario. My fear is that the neocons, who are obviously deluded maniacs, will take it to the max rather than see their pet project fall apart.

"Triumph"

Triumph for the funding of Wokism in the US, which is what his command performance was really about.
