This is a heavy subject to be addressed by each one of us, I understand.

But it is late, and your last statement made me laugh. Please keep in heart and head that the new morning is still Easter, Easter Tuesday; and the bells are ringing sweetly.

"the new morning is still Easter, Easter Tuesday"

No, no. I didn't intend to give the impression that I had given up belief. Quite the contrary. My faith is in God, not in men. A lot of people--and I sympathize with them--grew up in the belief that the Church operates like a puppet show, with God pulling the strings. The faith handed down through the apostles is not that kind of thing.

Thank you for what you've written. Honestly, I attempted a light-hearted look to the good of these days in Easter Tide, beyond the examples you gave of the error prone and deviant human operators in charge (of the Church). I saw your examples as if hearing a drumbeat growing louder and louder; and so, your admonition that things could get "worse...but that's life" broke the tension in my thoughts. Of course it's the way it is. Thanks for all that you say so well in words.

As the sort of Irish American from the strictly Tyrconnell/Donegal mystical heritage of St. Columba and the earliest warriors of the Church, I’m going to mark myself safe from any “shenanigans.” 😂

I wonder if any Eastern Rite cardinals are potential candidates, given all the shenanigans it wouldn’t surprise. After all it would give Rome claims over all of Russia.

Hmm. Two or three of Judge Nap's guests today had kind and generous things to say about Francis. Jeff Sachs was positively effusive.

Also we’ve got a short list started separated by political ideology. No sign of Parolin yet. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/04/here-are-leading-contenders-succeed-pope-francis-as/

Ergo, Erdo?

At present it doesn't seem promising at all for traditionalists (i.e., Christians) on a strictly percentage and procedural basis. But all is in God's hands.

I will pray that Bishop Athanasius Schneider is voted into the papacy. He will bless the Traditionalists to go preach to the ordinaries who only worship via novus ordo liturgies.
