You missed a point: Nancy Pelosi, just back from her "peacekeeping" trip to Taiwan (which Dennis Kucinich says was likely initiated by the White House), soon after lead another congressional trip to ... Armenia ... to assure them of our steadfast support in their struggle against Azerbaijan. This despite the fact that Armenia has traditionally been supported by Russia and Azerbaijan is best buddies with Turkey, our NATO ally. Azerbaijan's attack on Armenia in September was probably done with NATO encouragement to distract Russia from the war in Ukraine

Well, that didn't work out too well for Armenia. That, IMO, was driven by domestic politics--the wealthy and influential Armenian community in CA.

As a nation of immigrants we should be on guard against diaspora communities getting us involved in wars in their home countries, something George Washington and many other founders recognized and warned us against 240 years ago. We obviously didn't listen.

Instead, these days our military-industrial complex encourages diaspora communities to do this as part of their marketing strategy. You could get whiplash trying to keep track of the efforts of the eastern European, eastern Asian, Turkish, Armenian, Saudi and Israeli governments and their diaspora communities to influence our political processes in that direction

1. Strong winds today, more leaves down.

2. They were on with Gonzalo Lira today, just finished the live video, hopefully it'll be up on Youtube soon. I thought it was outstanding.

Wow! Look forward to seeing that too. Hopefully I’ll be able to, as Rumble has just turned out the lights in France…From Kane at CFP. Interesting Krainer mentioned in passing that Macron is suffering a depression. Clueless.

Let's see: how many coups have been fomented by the US/UK in the last 20 years?

It's difficult to accept just how evil these governments have exposed themselves to be.

It's disgraceful.

It's criminal.

So, you had this podcast on super-fast forward?

England, bound in with the triumphant sea,

Whose rocky shore beats back the envious siege

Of watery Neptune, is now bound in with shame,

With inky blots and rotten parchment bonds.

That England that was wont to conquer others

Hath made a shameful conquest of itself.

My memory also on the Turkish Coup agrees with Rascal Nick Of. It was a setup.

Iran and Turkey seemed to have reinforced Azerbaijan and using drones, destroying the traditional Armenian military. I’m not sure Azerbaijan expected be that successful. It was a huge example of a major change in military technology effectiveness on the battlefield. UK involvement I don’t think was major. Right now drone technology is ahead of anti drone technology.

Iran did not support Azerbaijan/Turkey. I'm not sure where you got that idea:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenia%E2%80%93Iran_relations

Bilateral relations exist between Armenia and Iran. Despite religious and ideological differences, relations between the two states remain extensively cordial and both are strategic partners in the region.

My mistake - I did not realize Azerbaijan and Iran had tense relations. And I forgot Azerbaijan used Israeli drones in the war.

What strange alliances.

Not strange when you realize it was aimed against Russia and that Azerbaijan is controlled by MI6.

So you're saying that Luongo is saying that there is now a Trump/Wall St/Musk/Scotus cabal of some sort that is going to see to it that next week's election is not stolen? Is that purely Wishful thinking? Seems to me the Bidenites are lining up to play all the nasty games they did two years ago. None of the key elections will be announced until they've created enough votes.

Tom is a good commentator who makes his readers think and ask questions. However, I don't buy his recent theories that the Fed and now Wall Street are suddenly big friends of MAGA and democracy. Sometimes Tom goes down deep rabbit holes.

True. He says he likes to stir things up.

However, he does always specify that Wall St. isn't our friend, just an ally against Davos for the time being. If you've read about the government/Big Tech censorship collusion, JPMorgan Chase, Dimon's bank and the most important globally, was at every meeting.

I've been listening off and on to Luongo and Krainer. Luongo has been stating that that's what he looks for re Fed/NYBanks v. Davos is: what are there interests. He compares this to a fight between King Kong and Godzilla. No white hats, but look to the interests.

Steghorn21's avatar

Yes, I take your point. In WW2 we and the Soviets were allies and not friends. Our interests coincided at many key points, but that was it. I've often said that I have little hope that a GOP congress will change anything, but I now wonder whether - assuming TL is right - the NY banks/Fed will then put some serious pressure on the GOP to tighten the purse strings and really stop some of the Dems' outrageous boondoggles.

Expand full comment
Mark Wauck's avatar

He has said in the past that "purse string" tightening is part of the plan, to prevent the US from sliding--further--into the same debt trap as Europe. But that alone isn't a solution. We need to revive the manufacturing sector and rein financial flim flammery.

1. It's a fun narrative!

2. I think the GOP is prepared this time around, and Zhou's crazy claims will be used in court against the Dems.

The problem we have today is that a) nobody can tell if a popular uprising is exactly that or just a CIA/MI6 run colour-revolution, and b) whether any election is genuine. Trust is the glue that keeps societies together. And the glue is melting away.
