I guess when a lucky hit sends one of our carriers to the bottom of the sea, we’ll stop with the, “I’ll huff and I’ll puff until I blow your house down” style of diplomacy? My money is on not if, but when. Somebody will have some splaining to do.

Exactly. Sergei Lavrov said-without-saying-it to Margaret Brennan: can you hear me now; can't you understand what I've said three times already/ repeatedly/thousands of times (as President of Russia has publicly stated) et cetera. Foreign Minister Lavrov was exasperated by Margaret Brennan's same old same ol' question(s) which she re-phrased every which way from Sunday!!! And this was aired on Sunday. (It's beside the point, but Brennan looked as though she would burst into tears following Lavrov's first unmistakably severe reprimand. But no, she visibly kept clenching her teeth, her lips grimacing hard; and her determination not to let the sting of the melting mascara cause the tears to pour out and ruin all her makeup.) Lavrov emphasized "serious" negotiations and that Russia will always be willing to talk with serious partners in any negotiation. Therefore, Ursula, Kaia Kallas, and the rest of EU figure heads along with Zelensky, were not included in the progressing negotiations---and he straight out told Margaret that Russia doesn't negotiate over its own territory, signifying the Zaporizhzhya region. Fine lesson in Diplomacy for wokesters.

Nah. Trump's gonna be thinking, that's it? Ask for something unrealistic! I want this to be fun! You give something up, I give something up; pretty soon, we're staring at the Deal of the Century!

Truman Hard Rudder Right

" evasive maneuvers "

A Nimitz-class carrier can apply full rudder (typically 35 degrees) at speed to initiate an evasive turn - overall it is believed the carriers top speed up to 31.5 knots ( approx 36 mph )

.

Hard Rudder right at 15 knots ( 1/2 speed ) may heel or tilt the deck up to 4 degrees - The flight deck is 257 feet wide, so a 4-degree tilt would raise one side and lower the other by approx 17 1/2 feet.

. So perhaps a bit of a shake for a plane in tow - not bolted/chained down.

I'm having a hard time visualizing an aircraft carrier making a turn that would even evade a cow flung by a trebuchet.
