I’m writing this up just because it’s interesting and because of the speculation that it’s somehow connected to the events in Sudan—note on the maps how close the drone’s flight pattern is to Tobruk in Libya, which could lead to land routes to Sudan’s Darfur region.
No less than 15 US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III military transport aircraft have arrived in Djibouti, where a preparation base is being set up for the evacuation of American citizens from Sudan.
It is reported that special operations forces of the US, France & UK have been transferred to Djibouti.

Several German ships also arrived in Jordan.
My guess monitoring Egypt, who is supporting the Sudanese Government.
Rebels seem to be more Islamic.
My guess is US was backing rebels, since Sudan’s Government had interest in Russian base.
There may also be US worry / watching of potential Russian support / intervention for Sudan’s Government.
General Rule seems to be if your Government backs Russia the US will take actions against your government, from sanctions to actually changing it.
Another “coincidence”, but US is filing charges against Syrian Government officials.
