What do I know about drones? Next to nothing, so I can only speculate whether this activity is unusual or not. I’m writing this up just because it’s interesting and because of the speculation that it’s somehow connected to the events in Sudan—note on the maps how close the drone’s flight pattern is to Tobruk in Libya, which could lead to land routes to Sudan’s Darfur region. Here’s the link to the thread:

U.S. Air Force RQ-4B Global Hawk “FORTE10” after being launched from Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily has been doing Small Rounds over the Mediterranean Sea just South of Crete for over 12 Hours now, this is Extremely Unusual and I have no clue what they could be looking at.

I’m beginning to think they may be looking at something in either Egypt or Libya or possibly even both, either way I don’t feel this Route for “FORTE10” is a coincidence considering what we have currently ongoing in Sudan and across Northeastern Africa.

The thread continues with speculation about a sinking ship, a recent naval exercise in the area, etc. One way or the other, it does seem unusual and an expensive commitment of resources.
Looks like this may be the answer:

No less than 15 US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III military transport aircraft have arrived in Djibouti, where a preparation base is being set up for the evacuation of American citizens from Sudan.
It is reported that special operations forces of the US, France & UK have been transferred to Djibouti.
The operation to evacuate foreign citizens can begin immediately, as the Sudanese Army returns control of Khartoum airport.e operation to evacuate foreign citizens can begin immediately, as the Sudanese Army returns control of Khartoum airport.
Several German ships also arrived in Jordan.
My guess monitoring Egypt, who is supporting the Sudanese Government.
Rebels seem to be more Islamic.
My guess is US was backing rebels, since Sudan’s Government had interest in Russian base.
There may also be US worry / watching of potential Russian support / intervention for Sudan’s Government.
General Rule seems to be if your Government backs Russia the US will take actions against your government, from sanctions to actually changing it.
Another “coincidence”, but US is filing charges against Syrian Government officials.

What type of international blowback will there eventually be in this lawfare?
