‘…derring-do approach..’ = ‘Who Dares Wins Media Attention’

The City seems desperate, and maybe, to them, nuclear war is less concerning than losing out on Russian resources and facing the inevitable financial ruin/economic collapse?

One point of view was the Trump had to go along with the neocons to get his Big Beautiful Bill through Congress. Now Elon is telling the world what's really in this "BBB". We've been had, folks!

MTG is now complaining she didn't know about everything in the bill, and is complaining that there's a provision that prohibits states from passing anti-AI legislation for 10 years. Well, why didn't she know? She didn't read it - and couldn't before it was brought to a vote. Did she complain? Did she vote NO? Had she voted no, it would have failed. But she wimped out. I have zero sympathy.

Now I'm hearing about all the terrible things that will happen if the bill doesn't pass. A worse CR will pass. The Ds will take the Congress in 2026. Illegals will pour into the country. Etc. For 40 damn years I've heard that we have to pass a turd so we don't have to eat a bigger one later. And the debt has skyrocketed and every standard of living and cultural indicator has declined.

The Rs own this travesty. We were had once again!

Just like we will be had by Comer investigating the autopen scandal. A GOP investigation is just running out the clock with no action.

If the GOP was serious about investigating the autopen, there would be a Special Prosecutor appointed. I don't know off the top of my head, but does a Special Prosecutor need Congressional approval (I don't remember on Mueller)?

That's an interesting question. There is no such thing as a Special Prosecutor--there used to be a thing called a Special Counsel, appointed by the AG. Currently that's in limbo, because Judge Aileen Cannon ruled the whole Jack Smith thing was unconstitutional in the Classified Docs case.

Haven't heard about Max Boot for years! Figured and hoped he had found a new profession. Well, whenever you turn on the lights, much to your disgust you find that the Trotskyite Neocons are all still there and still scurrying around with their empty-headed commentaries and parasitical profit motivations based on death and destruction.

IRAN-US TALKS: THE RARE EARTHS ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

Officially, Iran-US negotiations are about Iran’s nuclear program and Trump’s desire to avoid a military escalation involving Israel.

Off the record, vast rare earths fortunes may be at stake.

:zzz:Awakening a sleeping giant

Traditionally known for its gas, oil and common metals potential, Iran truly entered the rare earths race only about a decade ago.

In 2016, Iran’s nuclear chief announced contracts with local industry to mine rare earths alongside uranium to reduce costs, covering both domestic needs & exports.

:pick:The same year, the National Center for Minerals unveiled 7 locally-mined REs:

:red_circle:Praseodymium (magnets, aerospace alloys)

:red_circle:Neodymium (reactor control rods)

:red_circle:Cerium (nano-abrasives, precision optics)

:red_circle:Yttrium (superconductors, thermal coatings)

:red_circle:Mischmetal (steel additive)

:red_circle:Ferrotitanium (metal composites)

:red_circle:Lanthanum (lenses, refining)

:test_tube:Lithium gamechanger

In 2023, Iran found a massive, 8.5-million-ton reserve of hectorite clay containing lithium – the electronics and clean energy tech metal countries and corporations wage wars for, in Hamadan Province.

In April 2025, Iran inaugurated its first plant processing monazite (a phosphate source of cerium, lanthanum and thorium), featuring 100% locally designed and manufactured equipment.

:speaking_head_in_silhouette:Trump’s game exposed

So while Trump plays the statesman, claiming talks with Iran are about the country’s nuclear program, his other recent actions (rare earths deal with Ukraine, tension with China over RE export restrictions) betray his true goals in Iran: finding a way to unlock the country’s rare earth riches.

But if the US wants in and Iran says yes, they’d have to hurry.

:ru::flag-ir:Iran and Russia signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in January, and two months later announced cooperation in Iran’s lithium industry.

:flag-ir::cn:Iran and China also enjoy extensive cooperation in the mining sector.

Wow! Could definitely be a motivation for the Trump admin. Is there an opportunity to tap into or take Iran's resources? They apparently think so. Is there truly a means? No, other than the very unlikely event of successfully playing the Iranians for suckers.

If Russia's opponents had anyone within a few miles of those airbases (how likely is that? I would say that there is a decent chance), it wouldn't be too hard to monitor takeoffs and landings. Not call numbers, but gross numbers of planes up and down. You hear them and can recognize what kind of plane it is. It would not require satellite surveillance. Just partners willing to make some investments. That was probably part of why it took 18 months to pull off.

Gilbert Doctorow takes great exception to all of this:

https://gilbertdoctorow.com/2025/06/03/coffee-and-a-mike-how-will-putin-respond-to-the-recent-attacks-from-ukraine/

He insists that the right hand (CIA) and the left hand (MI6) operate in uncoordinated fashion in Ukraine and thinks that anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

GD's opinion is based on speculation and strikes me as being naive and perhaps delusional, given the shared histories of CIA and MI6 (Rockefeller and Dulles, surveillance and information sharing on each others' citizens, "Five Eyes," etc.) and their admitted history of support for Ukraine:

https://aoav.org.uk/2024/mi6-chief-confirms-uk-covert-support-for-ukraine-in-fight-against-russia/

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/25/world/europe/cia-ukraine-intelligence-russia-war.html

Why wouldn't they work together when they have the same objectives?

Hi Mark, interesting read. Don’t see any mention of the creator-sustainer of ALL MATTER, in your Analysis! Actually nothing in the life of any and every human is of more importance! Apostle Paul received the Highest education possible, actually a re-education, that should emphasize to EVERY PERSON - the priority of putting Jesus first! Mr. Putin knows about the adrenachrome (not sure of the spelling here) production and distribution that was occurring in the Ukraine! Frankly I believe Mr. Putin is a tool of Jesus Christ in this effort to expose and eradicate it! Why don’t all journalists write about THAT! Nothing is more satanic than taking a little prepubescent girl, while alive, torturing her to death by removing the skin from her body, to get her blood saturated with adrenaline, then draining all or part of the blood out to drink! This is not fantasy-it’s an actual truth! The laptop from hell was said to contain a video of two women, Huma and Hillary actually doing this to a female child! EVERYBODY NEEDS THE TRUTH!

Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees!

The long-term goal of the Trump administration is to pave the way to a world dominated by three power centers: The US, Russia, and China.

Naturally, along the way the trio will have to endure millions of mosquito bites, which is what Zelensky is inflicting. Probably Netanyahu also, though I don't want to denigrate the victims of genocide in either place. The Jewish perps of course are only doing the bidding of the London oligarchy. So the enemy is really the British Empire. Roosevelt went a long way in getting rid of it in WWII though it came roaring back through the US National Security State, Kissinger, 9/11 and the Neocons/Straussians, etc. But the writing is on the wall. This is how the (old) world ends and the new one is born. Labor pains.
