Masterly summary. I've been scouring my mind to think of the last time a nation/alliance got this badly beaten at diplomacy as the collective West has been in the last month or two. Maybe Soviet Russia and the Nazi-Soviet Pact, or Bismarck luring France into a war they couldn't win. As you say, Mark, the Russians really are getting the ducks lined up. The Turkey situation in particular is pretty amazing. Lavrov, Putin and Medvedev have forced Erdogan to accept reality in Syria and have created a vast amount of insecurity at Nato HQ.

There's been a massive amount of back-and-forth debate on the internet about whether Musk is a genuine freedom fighter or not. I can't answer that question, but what we can say for sure is that he is having a whale of a time tweaking the Deep State's tail. I hope he has good security.

Jeff Childers, wiring at Coffee & COVID in his year-end wrap-up, postulates that 'Global Governance' is already here, and thus, everything we think we know is a fraud.

The Tucker statement re JFK & the Agencies, the omnibus etc all point to this, as does the American Thinker piece you linked, Mark, TY.

Part one of Childers piece is history, involving Chambers and others. Part two is where we are now. I think Childers is the first to postulate this idea.

Basically Biden can’t be trusted.

Goes along with how he was “elected”.

What issues will the loss of credibility by our elites, and associated organizations have? The trust that exists has been squandered.

The other shoe will drop from January onwards when conservatives learn that the new GOP House will do nothing to fight the evil taking over the nation.

The GOP party, and most GOP in congress are disconnected from their voters.

My guess is most conservatives have very low expectations of the GOP House doing much of anything.

I would be surprised if there are even any meaningful investigations, much less retaliation. There should be a lot of tit for tat. But I doubt Frank Luntz roommate will do much.

Average GOP voter priorities:

1. Clean elections

2. The economy / inflation

3. Stop Wokism in schools and the workplace

4. Stop the endless wars

5. Secure the borders

6. Clean up the Fbi

7. Stop Censorship by the internet giants

8. Crime

9. Gun Rights

10. Education/ school choice

11. Cost of health care

Biased reference on Gop Voters:

Conservatives is a very broad term, along with GOP.

Trump somehow got a lot of voters that distrusted both the GOP and Democrats to vote for him.

So, you're playing it safe with your predictions? A quite defensible position.

I love the imagery of Zhou as Old Mother Hubbard going to open the diplomacy cupboard, and finding…not even a bone…as Ray SC mentioned, ( and as I think Medvedev bewailed), there is no one of serious mind or integrity of purpose to deal with in our “ diplomatic” corps…
