Wonder if the "classified" documents are the same documents that Trump ordered classified but that DOJ has refused to declassify & produce. See: See https://justthenews.com/accountability/russia-and-ukraine-scandals/mystery-solved-doj-secretly-thwarted-release-russia

Denninger has a rather delightful column today about the raid. Yes it is speculation but oh what speculation it is:

Hard to imagine Trump doesn't have copies of everything they took...

Since when it is an affront to public discourse to report speculation? Political speculation is reflective of and representative of the current state of affairs. It is legitimate information that is part and parcel of the political process (or has been heretofore). To state the obvious, Twitter doesn't care about political or "democratic" debate or process - only about neo-liberal political hegemony and whatever censorship serves that.

Twitter is a government speech control apparatus.

I findi it impossible to believe that Trump did not get some kind of heads up that this raid was going to take place....

Whether you like Trump or hate him, if you don't realize that he has exposed something rotten to the core about BOTH parties AND the administrative state, you're brain dead.

This notion that the libs and the MSM have that Biden’s senility and incompetence have gone unnoticed by the rest of the world, always did strike me as the height of arrogance and stupidity. Just because they act like it’s not real, does not mean that everyone else lives in fantasy land with them. I’m sure that ol’ Fist Bump Biden and Dig-a-hole-to-China Pelosi just screams trust and stability to world leaders everywhere. And their backup plan is a real confidence builder as well! Hey Kamala , come on out here and let everybody get a look at you and serve up one of your famous “word salads” while you’re at it!

They still have not come to grips with the fact that the world is a much more dangerous place since they aided and abetted in installing Biden in office.

Hey, maybe they can just change the definition of crappy, pathetic and incompetent! That oughta work, worked for recession.

It took his father's ghost to reveal to Hamlet what was wrong, and the rest of the play tells how Hamlet, far from the neurotic and indecisive chracter he is often portrayed as, was proactive in dealing with his uncle who murdered his father and took both the kingdom and the queen, while all the other characters in the play were ignorant of the duel going on. The uncle spent his nights carousing with his entourage, indifferent to the threat posed by neighboring Norway and I assume other important matters of state. Seem familiar? Trump could concede and walk away, just as Hamlet would have wanted to return to Wittenburg and study philosophy or whatever (that is the real sense of "To be or not to be") but he was on a mission. De Santis might be perfect in the future, but in this bloody fight there is only Trump. Not only does he have documents related to the FBI, but there is reason to believe he can prove the election fraud and incriminate very important people. (see an article by the J E Dyer mentioned here dating back to December 4, 2020 in 'Liberty Unyielding' concerning the 'key supporting effort') I assume everything Trump has is at least in triplicate, and stashed away at various locations.

In "Hamlet" everybody dies at the end, and it seems Norway is about to take over Denmark. Let us hope America has a better future. First MAGA in November, then Trump, and then after all this bloody business is concluded possibly De Santis.

off topic but this post by Mark prompted me to cancel my subscription, so it is related -- I have subscribed to Alex Berenson, until today, and this note reminded me how he had Twitter in a legitimate legal contest, and then settled. So, I sent this note when I cancelled the subscription and then posted it as comment to his substack, a moment ago, thanks Mark --

disappointed in author, didn't hold himself to the standard he suggests others should follow - should remove 'truth' from the title; his abandonment of his lawsuit v Twitter has only strengthened its censorship, to wit this news just today https://meaninginhistory.substack.com/p/twitter-suspends-paul-sperry-over?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email -- AB is just as much a 'sell out' as are all the institutions that likewise have sold us out, our gov't, our church, our media, our medical and legal institutions - just name the price, and the 'fight on principle' becomes just another pay day. I will move my $ to Steve Kirsch.

Fair enough, but did you read his explanation of why he settled?

The judge, who appeared to be very interested in the case, nevertheless neutered the most important part of the case. Unfortunately I have forgotten the legal term, but it cut right to the heart of what he was trying to achieve. There was no point in proceeding further.

I had been thinking for awhile now that it really was about the documents Trump ordered declassified but the Intel community slow walked until after he left office in the hopes they wouldn't come out. But consider this: Former DNI Ratcliffe was ordered to declass the documents and probably has a copy because as soon as Trump ordered it, it was declassified. It was simply a courtesy to the Intel folks that they could argue for some parts not to be revealed.

Now suppose Trump shows up on the front steps of the FBI building for a press conference and starts handing out copies of the declassed docs to the media. While most will try to suppress the information, they will be looking at the NY Post and Washington Examiner as they swoop up actual evidence of wrongdoing.

I am also looking for the FBI to manufacture evidence of Trump wrongdoing. And if I was defending Trump, I would call Kevin Klinesmith for proof the FBIs do this all the time and cannot be trusted.

I was surprised by Sperry's suspension--nothing in his recent tweets struck me as anything that would be in violation of Twitter's policies (other than the unwritten one of not offending Democrats in power).

Personally, I was hoping we could just move beyond Trump and go with someone like DeSantis who wouldn't have as much baggage and is more politically adept. But then this stuff happens. All the Dems had to do was let Trump be, and he would have continued his slow decline. But they just can't help themselves and have to go after him repeatedly and with absurd levels of overkill. It's like they NEED Trump as their enemy. And that, as you and others have pointed out, is a good reason to exercise caution about this most recent government excess. I could believe this was meant as bait to inflame the right and provoke a reaction that will enable law enforcement to "crack down on right wing extremism".

Yes now this would make more sense given the gravity of the unintended (?) consequences

Twitter's gotten more brazen since Musk filed his lawsuit.

I think that you are missing a broader point, they hate our guts and wish we we were dead! They cannot allow Trump or anyone like him to get ahold of the levers of power again, and by extension they want us to get the message, “Don’t even think about voting for someone like this again!” That “baggage” that you think Trump has, is the same as all other Constitutional Conservatives have and the progressive left despises everything it represents.

Make no mistake about, we are as much in the crosshairs as DJT, unless you think that group of 87,000 new IRS agents are just administrative staff.

This will make Lois Lerner look like small potatoes.

Exactly. The 87,000 (apparently to be armed) IRS agents are punishment to be directed at the Americans who do not back the political elites.

I agree with you except for the "baggage" part which is more style than substance. But we don't have a choice other than to surrender. I'm too old to go with that.

Sperry's tweet violated the one rule that can't be forgiven: Revealing information that makes the Dems look bad. I agree with you that I wanted DeSantis more than Trump, but at this point, it has to be Trump to be the one to destroy the cabal that has twisted the meaning of justice into such a pretzel.

Why surprised? Anything or anyone halfway close to the truth gets banned on Twitter now. Twitter is Pravda.

Denninger has a theory that they (gov) got set up. Ha!

market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=246579

Another one is they planted evidence beforehand and it's all on tape. Probably a stretch. Regardless, Can’t wait to see the campaign ad showing an agent sniffing someone’s undies or other inappropriate behaviour…

I mistakenly posted my comment not as a reply to yours, as your quote from Hamlet inspired me, and won't repeat it here. I would add that the world would not be just fine. It took a vibrant and productive America to save the world in 1941-45, and the rest of the world is currently in much worse shape than we are. Should our economy crash and our people turn of not only on the world but even on remedying our own government everything goes downhill, apart from what we can salvage of our own lives as individuals.
