Trump’s Israel policy called ‘beyond immoral,’ ‘extremely reckless’ by analyst

President Donald Trump's support for Israel’s genocidal blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza, with even the bombing of Yemen, risks ‘incalculable’ fallout, according to analyst Alex Krainer.

and to think that Trump once objected to the neocon project. Or pretended to. The USA is unfixable. but that’s the way Israel wants it, I guess.

Most likely scenario is that Trump greenlights a limited demonstration attack on Iran that is intended to scare the world that he means business and thereby coerce a capitulation. But Iran now possesses highly effective Russian air defense systems and has had time to train on their use. So there is a high probability of failure or degraded impact, which would reveal significant deficiencies in US military prowess. If this plays out, it's unlikely that Iran would respond militarily, but rather allow Russia and China to step up on the international stage and formally inject themselves into negotiations. This would then put Trump in a tight box with no good options for a next step. The longer this drags out, the harder it becomes for Israel to hang on with a failing economy, civil unrest, persistent casualties, and growing worldwide hatred of their country.

Like you and others this simply looks foolish to me, at best.

Many of us hoped that Trump would be different than the previous warmongering Presidents. Alas it does not appear to be so. In just a few months he has threatened numerous countries with military action and/or sanctions if they don’t do what he wants. He’s even threatening tariffs on those who buy Venezuelan oil. This is unhinged behavior. Talking about Canada as a 51st state, and Greenland as a U.S. territory is another stupid distraction. Now the ceasefire in the ME has fallen apart, the U.S. is bombing the Houthis for the millionth time, and the U.S. is threatening Iran with nuclear weapons. Syria is an even bigger mess than just a few months ago. And not one soldier has been withdrawn from overseas bases.

Does anyone think the Ukraine Russia war ends anytime soon? The Russians may as well resign themselves to a march to Kiev.

I am thinking about Trump's pursuit to absorb/take over/run Canada, Greenland, the Panama Canal, and now the British Commonwealth! This to me is conquering and subjugating other countries and an important international waterway...colonialism.

He is bullying and threatening Iran and Yemen. He is complicit in the murder of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, along with people in Yemen.

What Mark has written, with learned assessment from A. Crooke, Ray McGovern, John Mearsheimer, is Trump's mission to effect Zionist rule over the globe. Trump is in a rush because he has just 4 years to get a lot of the job done.

Zionist Israel has definitely taken hold of the federal govt. Tentacles of this octopus have dictated behavior in the US govt, and the US military, for decades.

I have just read James M. Scott's excellent book, The Attack on the Liberty: The Untold Story of Israel's Deadly 1967 Assault on a U.S. Spy Ship.

Israel had US military and govt men under its control then: cover-ups and the dissolving of Israel's guilt were obvious and successful in large part.

I was hoping Trump would be more of an isolationist. Not so.

Yes, I was, too.

I thought he respected the sovereignty of nations.

If true, this is utterly insane on so many levels.

I believe it is true, DF. If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, etc. Trump in thrall to a regime that realises it has one last chance to create Eretz Israel before internal and external factors prevent it. He's going to take on Iran at their behest. The wildcards are how much opposition Iran gives back and what Russia does. Interesting times.

Interesting indeed. I can hear my dad in my head, “those damn Jews are gonna wind up getting us all killed someday.” Never really truly understood what he meant when I was a kid, but now I know.
