Great article. Well, if mere mortals like us can clearly smell the total bullshit and identity the true goal of the US then I'm sure the Russian lads are well aware. Why don't the Russians just tell the US to fuck right off? Because they are exposing to their most trusted allies and most importantly to on the fence allies, Saudi Arabia for example, how totally useless it is to have any dealings with the west. All these statements by Trump and Co are stored away in the collective mindset and archives of the global south and Russia is teaching them the art of breaking away from us, the nutcases of the west.

In other words, Russia will settle this on the battlefield. Looks like the tempo is picking up in Zaporizhzhia and elsewhere.

Seems like double crosser Trump’s entire diplomatic effort was to engender plausible deniability for the gullible MAGA public in the pursuit of a hot war.

In an odd Twilight Zone kind of way, Trump's erratic statements and behaviors have proven to be extremely beneficial to both Russia and Iran. Russia needs to finish the job in Ukraine and that can only be done militarily. They need to stay the course, and Trump's psychosis is the perfect camouflage and justification for doing so. There is no longer any real danger that they can be derailed by legitimate negotiations. Ditto for Iran. Trump has made it easy for Iran to focus on strengthening its military and defense capabilities, and not get bogged down in more phony negotiations. They have clarity on what they must do, and it centers on improving their deterrent via hypersonic ballistic missiles and the will to use them decisively when attacked again. Iran has now moved from wishy-washy mullah leadership to firm conviction via its military command structure. Was this Trump's goal all along? Is he intentionally undermining Ukraine and Israel? Both countries are now worse off than they were when Trump was elected in January.

Exactly. His moves have just made Russia, Iran (and probably China) much stronger and the BRICS more unified. If this really is Trump's goal, what would he have done differently?

Hoping you are correct in saying Iran's military command structure has taken over the country's foreign policy front, because as of the 23 June US strike, I've read multiple articles on the internal struggle between pro-Western factions and hardline realist factions, and the Ayatollah was the leading guy, still on the fence as to which way to tilt his remaining strength. I really hope your observation is current and future.

With Ukraine, Trumps trying to escape blame for the coming defeat.

With Israel, Trumps trying to escape a direct war between the US and Iran, that Israel wants. And perhaps trying to save Israel from committing suicide.

Those may be his intentions, Ray, but he is doing everything possible hang these two albatrosses around his neck.

But I no longer think Trump is conscientious about how to achieve these two desires, but he reacts to what his "choice" advisors/handlers/cabinet secretaries recommend that he do. His public communications, both tweets and press availabilities, are confusingly contradictory. In his career lifetime, such uncertainty would be a strength over his competitors, but now I think his mind is dissolving rapidly, revealing to all of us that Donald Trump is void of conviction of any direction.

Spot on, Joanne. Advanced age and possible mental decline are accentuating his life-long traits of bluster, bullying and narcissism. It's scary to think that we are only 7 months in to a 4 year term.

The Epstein fiasco is a perfect example!

In Ukraine it’s a tightrope walking act, and Trump has to balance the neocons like Lyndsey Graham and the threat of Russian sanctions on steroids vs the base that views Ukraine as a sinkhole.

For Israel the major fact is the U.S. is not currently in a hot war with Iran, and iran/Israel has a de facto ceasefire. My guess is Israel is in the driver seat on what’s next,?due to Israel’s political power in the U.S., but the Houthis attacks are having an impact on Israel.

Your second paragraph about Ukraine encapsulates perfectly the tragedy and failure of Trump 2.0 on the foreign policy front: people voted for him exactly because they were sick of all this tightrope/balancing act/pleasing both sides stuff. They wanted Trump to live up to his campaign promise and get us out of Ukraine pronto. As for Israel, I agree that it and Netanyahu are the key here. Netanyahu must get the US back in the game concerning Iran. I wonder what he has up his sleeve to achieve that?

"With Ukraine, Trumps trying to escape blame for the coming defeat."

How does that work? Is he ending sanctions? Is he stopping our intel support, which is essential for the Ukraine war effort? Is he withdrawing US personnel from Ukraine, and from Poland where our huge base directs the war effort?

"With Israel, Trumps trying to escape a direct war between the US and Iran, that Israel wants."

Again, how does that work? Wouldn't it be easier to just say, No--rather than participating in a sneak attack under cover of negotiating? Make no mistake about it--the Israeli attack was impossible without direct US involvement. Is he refusing to rearm Israel?

As Liz Truss said - she found she controlled no levers of power. Rather she was in a way ‘handed her orders’. Who says Starmer, Merz, Macron etc are controlling any long-term strategy vis-a-vis Russia? Marionettes.

Back to basics - our Donald is not in control of strategy, so his buffoonery is not where we should spend energy. Rather we should look down, into the lairs of the bankers and their owners.

Over and over again, I see actions by European countries and the US that show aggression against Russia. I know this group of countries wants to hurt and conquer Russia for neocon globalist reasons. But it still floors me that weak Germany will attack Russia, and that pipsqueak Estonia works to halt Russian shipping in the Baltic Sea. Folly!

The US is willing to upset global trade through wild tariffs, embargoes, and sanctions...all to smash Russia.

Folks, the wars and promises of new and intensified wars sickens and angers me.

What can we as citizens of these warmongering countries do?

My own Reprentative and Senator voted to support the BBBill, and I am thinking they will support increased economic pressures on Russia. They do not represent me. Writing to them does nothing to change their AIPAC- and Trump-pressured votes.

In his video report today, July 13, The Duran's Alex Christoforou said that the German (Taurus) missiles are most likely already in Ukraine, and have been stored there for awhile.

Recent hard-hitting by Russia has been on military and storage places in western Ukraine, around Lviv.

It looks likely to me that Russia will find the long-range German missiles and destroy them.

An additional point: the Taurus missiles are air-launched. I wonder who will provide the planes?

Here I was sitting watching the dollar drop and my PM holdings soar, only to now fear that I won't be able to enjoy having been right about ANYTHING.

I feel the same way. Sort of like the opening rounds of WW1, where one stupid bastard after another does one stupid thing after another until everyone is caught up in the disaster.

Only now half the players have nukes. I doubt ours work any better than the obsolete Patriot systems.
