Only one thing to say about the GOP stepping up: "Haha!"

I truly hate being skeptical. I really do. But when I evaluate predictive statements around politics I always look at history and financial data. The history shows that Republicans have not ultimately stood up against the medical or pharmaceutical establishments (including when Obamacare was being pushed). The financial data shows that Republicans in general have been recipients of pharma money nearly as much (and in some cases more) as the Dems. Take a look at the following (for example) and some of the names may surprise you:

https://www.opensecrets.org/political-action-committees-pacs/pfizer-inc/C00016683/candidate-recipients/2020

I realize that for any industry the standard lobbying practice is to contribute some to all in a ratio based on projected "winners" at any given time, and then to hedge your bets. But at the same time, accepted contributions equate to some degree of expected leverage. When have the Republicans ever exhibited concern over the accountable use of "our" money in the medical services, equipment, or pharmaceutical industries vs. the leverage inherent with the contributions they have received? And of course leverage does not entirely reside with monetary contributions.

Many (most?) of us who might be inclined to vote Republican do so based on principles. After all that is what Republicans have been selling us on for what, 90 years? But the question becomes, just how strong are those principles within the GOPe when money is involved?

By "suppressed in favor of less effective yet much more *effective* measures?", I'll bet you meant

"suppressed in favor of less effective yet much more *expensive* measures".

"The use of prophylactic supplements" should include (stress on) vit. D, w/ frequent testing of those levels, since the levels tend to decline if not maintained.

See e.g. https://chriskresser.com/9-steps-to-perfect-health-4-supplement-wisely/#Be_Selective_with_Your_Supplementation .

Kresser has a post on statins, in which he favorably refers to a Dr. Malcolm Kendrick, see

https://chriskresser.com/the-truth-about-statin-drugs/ .

Anyone know how trustworthy Kendrick is?

His site is of interest, see https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/2021/09/03/i-have-not-been-silenced/ .

I own a book of his: The Great Cholesterol Con. Malone recently linked to an interview with him in which Kendrick points out how little is really known about Covid.

Kendrick has a gripping post on medical research, esp. of covid, at

https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/2021/06/28/covid19-the-final-nail-in-coffin-of-medical-research/ :

< ‘Anyone who has been a scientist for more than *20 years* will realize, that there has been a *progressive decline* in the honesty of communications between scientists, between scientists and their institutions and the outside world....'

For example, I stated, right at the start of the COVID19 pandemic, that *vitamin D* could be important in protecting against the virus. For having the audacity to say this, I was attacked by the fact checkers. Indeed, anyone promoting vitamin D to reduce the risk of COVID19 infection, was ruthlessly hounded.

Guess what.

Here from 17th June:

‘Hospitalized COVID-19 patients are far more likely to die or to end up in severe or critical condition if they are vitamin *D-deficient*, Israeli researchers have found.

In a study conducted in a Galilee hospital, 26 percent of vitamin D-deficient coronavirus patients died, while among other patients the figure was at 3%.

“This is a very, very significant discrepancy, which represents a big clue, that starting the disease with very low *vitamin D* leads to increased mortality and more severity,” Dr. Amir Bashkin, endocrinologist and part of the research team, told The Times of Israel.’

I also recommended vitamin C for those already in hospital. Again, I was attacked, as has everyone who has dared to mention COVID19 and vitamin C in the same sentence.

Yet, we know that vitamin C is essential for the health and wellbeing of *blood vessels*, and the *endothelial* cells that line them.

In severe infection the body burns through vitamin C, and people can become ‘scrobutic’ (the name given to severe lack of vitamin C).

Vitamin C is also known to have powerful anti-viral activity. It has been known for years.... >

Almost enough to make you suspect that they actually want more people dead.

Fox has Siegal on now, pushing the vax, tho dissing mandates.

And he concedes, that the newly published emails do support the charge, that the NIH indeed irresponsibly backed GoF research.

Listening to Malone now:

https://www.bitchute.com/video/p1QALi41zqq4/

The interviewer asks about what vaccines Malone worked on and they were successful?

Not so much. Ebola worked, but the flu vaxxes didn't and Anthrax, well, 'nuff said.

But good interview.

I have little hop the GOP will do anything. The only ones who have done anything are Sen. Rand Paul & Rep. Thomas Massie, both from KY. It will be up to the masses to demand the madness stop.
