Maybe those stories of the arctic circle being flushed with natural resources is true.

Feels like the gold rush, everyone out to stake a claim, replete with the ol’ claim jumping. Somethings never change.

It’s funny, even Trump’s offer to buy them out sounds like a line from the Godfather, "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse.”

Perfect sense to the opportunists.

Well, the difference lies in the fact that Ukraine was historically part of Russia before the USoA was born as was Turkey's control of Syria as the Ottoman Empire, well China is one of the oldest civilizations and before it turned inward, well think about it...... they claimed territory that was in it's reachable sphere of influence.
