Appearance is that during UN Resolution 2254 (2015) and since there were 22 Russia Iran Turkey Syria meetings held over 6 years and each time Erdogan pledged " unwavering commitment to the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic "

Additionally Russia Iran and Turkey were " guarantor states " Turkey was not just a participant, but a "guarantor state"

Appearance is that Erdogan was scheming with US and Israel and Jihadists to do the opposite all the while - all the while including application for BRICS

If this is true - and it appears to be - it is a significant betrayal that may have significant future consequences - but at least everyone understands Erdogan a bit better -

Coincidentally I was reading about Syria Turkey Russia Iran

based on remarks of Alastair Crooke among them

Effectively on Turkey stabbing Russia in the back

UN Resolution 2254 (2015)

Adopted by the Security Council at its 7588th meeting, on

18 December 2015

8. Reiterates its call in resolution 2249 (2015) for Member States to prevent

and suppress terrorist acts committed specifically by Islamic State in Iraq and the

Levant (ISIL, also known as Da’esh), Al-Nusra Front (ANF) [[[[ Now HTS ]]],

and all other individuals, groups, undertakings, and entities associated with Al Qaeda or ISIL,

and other terrorist groups

Resolution 2254 further demands compliance with international law, stresses protection of civilians and unfettered humanitarian access, a nationwide ceasefire that is linked to the political process, addressing terrorism, implementing confidence-building measures, safe and voluntary refugee returns, and releasing arbitrarily detained persons. These are the means by which the Syrians, and no one else, should determine their future.

Astana Process, 16th Meeting July 2021

The 16th Astana Meeting on Syria within the Astana Process July 2021.

The Syrian government, Syrian opposition, Iran, Russia, Turkey the UN, Jordan, Lebanon Iraq among participants

Russia, Iran, and Turkey reaffirmed their stance to oppose separatist plans aimed at undermining a unified Syria; " stating their unwavering commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria "

https://astanatimes.com/2021/07/astana-process-participants-express-conviction-about-need-for-diplomatic-solution-to-syrian-conflict/

Apparently Erdogan had stated his unwavering commitment over years of time and at least 16 formal Astana meetings - And at the same time provided weapons and training to HTS if not others apparently with no intention whatsover to commit to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria

Interesting perhaps that once again the history appears to show that Russia had involved the UN and apparently followed the UN resolutions

Did Turkey stab Russia in the back ?

Appears to be the case in the violation of UN resolution 2254

Muslims, like Jews have a religious and civilizational philosophy that lying to advance your interests, especially if it involves deceiving the infidel/Gentile, is among their most sacred acts. Two sides, one coin, these people are one and the same.

Duplicity hardly begins to describe this. But it’s also the MO of the West under the clutches of other ‘middle easteners’ (including engraftees). Also the result of exchanging virtues with values.

Where did principals go, they seem to be completely absent among these people.

Thanks for the correction. I tend to make the mistake as a sort of mental fart from time to time. Principally, principals today have few principles.
