Every officer in the military makes Captain in 4 years. Every single one. That’s public and can be found anywhere. As for her helo proficiency, she’s doing the same training other helo pilots are. The black box will reveal everything but to say she was promoted early is ignorant of the military and citing her training is equally so.
If correct - and it seems like it is - this is more grist to the mill for Trump's war against DIE. A point that people often forget about Tick Box hires is that they are impossible to get rid of. No matter how incompetent, Woke politics mean that they have to stay in the institution, whether it's the local DMV or the military. That nearly always means that they are kicked upstairs, having command of much more able subordinates (usually men) and being allowed to create havoc in the organisation. As a wise American once said (Owen Wister?), you can have quality or you can have equality. That "e" ultimately decides whether an organisation or even a nation survives or goes under.
Sad to say, but absolutely. My assumption is that Hegseth is in place simply to clean house, and this is totally helpful from that standpoint. The public understands people dying in plane crashes. DIE kills.
For you all asking questions about what happened in DC.
The Pilot of the Army Helo that crashed into the Plane in DC.
From a news story......
"Rebecca began her career in the United States Army as a distinguished military graduate in ROTC at the University of North Carolina, and was in the top 20% of cadets nationwide. She achieved the rank of Captain, having twice served as a Platoon Leader and as a Company Executive Officer in the 12th Aviation Battalion, Davison Army Airfield, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. With more than 450 hours of flight time, she earned certification as a pilot-in-command after extensive testing by the most senior and experienced pilots in her battalion."
Nice propaganda piece...Makes the individual look "high speed".
First of all, the ROTC stuff means nothing. The achievement of rank of Captain is normal and expected unless you really screw up. Nothing special there. Cert as a Pilot in command? Normal advancement and needed if you are to advance. You are not going to fail this qualification, If you do, you will be tested again and again until you pass.
Now the kicker. She had 450 flight hours. That is telling. As a captain (that means with about 4 years service) that is a very low number of flight hours. That means inexperienced. And you get rusty from not being "behind the stick."
So how did she get a job doing "important missions". Easy, she worked in the White House. After an assignment there you get to pick where you want to go. Even though she was an inexperienced pilot, she was being fast tracked for higher things. That is what a political assignment will do for your career.
Thanks for the inside look! This is the way bureaucracies work, and especially when they're overtaken by identity politics. It's bad enough in normal times but ...
Anyone think odds are public will not obtain a true transcript of the black box
I still have my theory no error on the part of ground control
Pilot error - my theory co-pilot Eaves was at the communications
co-pilot Lobach was flying 'on the stick'
sometimes the simplest explanation is the explanation
possible Rebecca Lobach went right due to lack of training and experience
When two planes or boats are heading directly towards each other, general rule both pilots should alter their course to the right (starboard) to avoid a collision. If BOTH crafts heading directly at each other turn right, they separate.
Lobach may have thought CRJ was turning right (following the general avoidance rule), lacking situational awareness of CRJ landing runway 33, ability (or lack of) CRJ to turn abruptly, and possibly due to fear, reacted incorrectly
CRJ could not turn right they were turning left to landing - with CRJ turning left If Lobach turned right, By going right, the helicopter would have (and apparently did ) gone straight into the plane
I knew there was a congressman from Oklahoma about 10 years ago who was investigating why they even passed the Ranger School.
But I never heard their records disappeared. If you have more info on that, I would like to hear it. I went through in 1983. My class started with about 130 men. Only 56 of us graduated.
Iv'e flown a plane only a couple times, but long term boat owner, I won't speak for a plane but Iv'e been in the boat situation a few times and what you do in a boat is general rule oversteer you over correct to the right; you make sure the boat heading at you sees what you are doing. However you know when it comes to a barge or something large that cannot turn or not quickly you don't. If if was Loblach Lobach may have seen lights and just done what she would have done as if it were another helicopter or piper or something smaller.

Well, she won't be doing that again, will she?

I hope he is ruthless, Mark. No society can survive this madness.

Bit like those two ladies who "passed" Ranger training a few years back. The records vanished.
Really???

Well that's my theory.
As Elon tweeted, er Xed, people die from DEI.
I don't totally trust old Elon, but we owe him a massive debt for what he has done for free speech.
Yes. That's a very important message.
