Utterly sickening and cruel that a brand new Pope would call Zelensky. Worst is that he reassures the world that they can relax, US taxpayers are still global slaves, the post WWII "architecture" remains in place. As to Cardinal Dolan, he's been known to greet busloads of jobless, homeless, non-English speaking persons from violent cultures at the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan. Dolan also shows the world that US taxpayers deserve filthy surroundings. NY City can't print money. Billions spent feeding and housing newcomers are diverted from taxpayer dollars budgeted for sanitation and other necessities.

One of L14's stated reasons for positioning himself and the Vatican against Russia is this:

"Pope Leo XIV has called Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss Ukrainian children abducted by Russia"...note that he used the word abducted, meaning that chidren were taken out of Ukraine and into Russia against their will.

This is FALSE.

"Russian children's commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova has said that more than 700,000 Ukrainian children have been taken from Ukraine to Russia since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Lvova-Belova said in a report published on July 30 that the vast majority of those children came to Russia accompanied by parents and relatives."

I recall that at the beginning of Russia's SMO, Russia provided a safe corridor for families to enter Russia to escape the coming warzone, and to escape the relentless terrorism against ethnic Russians living in eastern Ukraine, which had been going on since 2014.

The moving of civilians from cities to the countryside to escape bombing and battle during war has occurred in many nations throughout history. In Great Britain Operation Pied Piper began in 1939.

Then it was called an evacuation.

Now L14 and others call it abduction.

I'm still holding out hope that Trump 2.0 in reality having made a plan (before and during transition to the swearing in (as President)), is working that plan in these 100 days +. The plan hasn't been divulged through media, but individual analysts do read the patterns being layed in geostrategic relations among the BIGGEST of the grand nations for a sustaining multi-polar world order led by those Biggest nation states, without totalitarian enforcement in, or between those leading countries. The UK is not among them, nor is Israel. Alex Krainer thinks Trump is on a pin-head, navigating negotiations with Russia, China, KSA, Iran, and India, to produce a solid, mutually agreed mode of trading, doing business, and living, without presumptive warring aggression throughout the world.

Apparently, L14's soon-to-be-problematic 😉 brother, Lou, feels quite differently about the Z-man, among other things. Don't know if this is fake or sensationalized, but, yikes, cue the sky-screaming:

Of course, this doesn't mean much about L14's views, as many of us (including myself) have siblings with whom we have profound political disagreements.

He will need a good Secretary of State to avoid these missteps. While his voting record in the States reflects GOP sympathies, he seems to be caught in the neo con Uniparty mind set regarding Foreign Policy. A more nuanced general call for peace would have been better. The Holy Father needs to read Jim Baker's assurance to Gorbachev “not one inch Eastward” regarding NATO.

Soon L14 will be sitting in on Trump's cabinet meetings and flying on the new AF-1. Course he already has unlimited credit on the Vatican's ATMs. Let the good times roll!!

The whole thing is weird to the average American I would think. I know myself, a fairly well informed average American at the time, had no idea where or what Ukraine was or its geopolitical importance before the little green men invaded during the anointed one’s administration. To now have the Z man seemingly everywhere, always, and part of the story in every world event seems a little odd to most it would seem. Especially for the leader of a country whose GDP pre invasion ranked somewhere below the state of Mississippi. Best PR and propaganda operation governments can buy I guess.

So "L14" is just another dumb-as-a-post politician, or rather, one only having exposure to carefully-regulated sources of information with which to maintain a world view.

This is how guys like Kellog and Rubio maintain their steadfast views about things like America's standing in the world, what is going on inside Russia, whether or not there are actual Nazis in Ukraine. Count in there ALL western European left and center politicians.

Like I was suggesting a week or so ago....maintaining those compliant opinions about this-and-that are what it takes to succeed in the Neocon extablishment, or to be elected in Florida or South Carolina, or to become the new Pope in 2025 apparently.

L14’s very unadvisable and patently ignorant statements also come at a time of great tension and heightebed emotion occuring over the May 9 commemoration activities and the “Eurotwits” and Zel’s bullying and abusive language to get a 30-day ceasefire from Putin…a really unnecessary “pavé dans la mare,” or muddying of the waters. Hugely disappointing.

why should that surprise you; the Roman Church's antipathy/animosity towards all things eastern orthodox and/or slovakian has been thoroughly documented for centuries, going back to the crusades. You have commented on this before, I believe. If not you, then several other substack writers. Russophobia is taught very early in the west, unless we need Russia to do our heavy lifting as in WWII. Rootin for the Russian people so I guess that means Putin.

Thanks, I will watch the video later today, and do agree with you that the internal Ukrainian society and governance is extremely fundamental as cause for making war against their perceived "domineering ancient Slavic Brother" Russia, which the Anglo-Zionist financiers, politicians, national security policies, and ever-living-narcissistic weathy business and real estate people, continually exploit as thoughtlessly as they breathe. To your point: non-slavic Prevost should not have spoken at all before studying prayerfully in search for truth in cause for ruination.
