or is Putin not going to keep promises and/or just delaying .
I just can't believe as Mark and others have expressed, that Russia is not going to include Iran Palestine considerations in the settlement. US needs to divide to conquer; will Trump prevail, are we only getting 1/2 the story ? I also find it difficult to believe Russia is not going to include China in most every or not all discussion
Once again, Trump’s ego is not fitting with the reality of the situation at hand.
The Russians are not going to agree to any kind of cease-fire except on their terms only, and that means in my opinion unconditional surrender by Ukraine .
Again, Trump makes the outrageous statement that the war would never have happened on his watch. Had he been president. Trump during his first term in office, certainly furnished Ukraine with and munitions for a war. Now I do not remember what Trump’s policy was on Ukraine becoming a part of NATO at that point. If he was pro NATO for Ukraine, then he himself helped that war start.
The bottom line is the Russians are not going to negotiate and there’s not gonna be a cease-fire until the Russians with the defeat of Ukraine on unconditional surrender terms. Trump is going to have to put his ego aside and accept what’s going to happen.
As to the Middle East there again, Trump’s ego is in the way thinking he is going to be able to bomb the Houthis into submission, I disagree. Saudi Arabia had a six-year war, trying to bring them to heel, and they failed and withdrew. The only way that you might be able to contain control or wipe out Houthis is a full-blown on the ground military operation which means you would probably have field at least 200,000 troops to invade Yemen. That isn’t going to happen.
Trump is now re-initiated approval of the bombing and Gaza, what is there left to bomb and who is left to kill? I agree, wholeheartedly. He now owns that war that’s a quagmire. He didn’t want to get into and yet he allowed himself to do so.
What is a real shame is Trump started out doing so well and then he went off the rails with his obsession for tariffs, Trying to bully people as usual, he has let his massive ego get in the way of common sense and logical thinking on how to get out of Ukraine in the Middle East. Pathetically he allowed his entire cabinet to be bought and paid for by the Israeli lobby.
My prediction unless he turns things around quickly, his term in going to be an abject failure all the way around. he will be consumed by the wars and his domestic plans and policies will never bear fruition at all.
I'm beginning to think that Israel should not be in ANY position at all. The experiment has failed. Israel is the molotov cocktail smouldering in the global woodpile. I'm just staggered at how much leeway Trump is giving Netanyahu. We now know just how much help he get from the Zionist lobby in getting back into power.
So the question has to be asked, is this Ukraine issue a Trump set up, or a Putin set up, or is it likely to happen
Is Trump going to say he acted in good faith and then Putin made promises he did not keep.
I recall this being discussed about the Oslo Accords and Clinton.
Here is an example:
"Accords did more to lay bare where the parties disagreed, than provide any real roadmap forward"

Check out the new post. Much of what you're saying is there.
Israel should never be in a position to destroy Iran or any of the other countries in the Middle East, including Lebanon.
They're not. They're a US proxy.
For once we disagree, Mr W. The US is the proxy.
At this point, I'm not sure which is the dog and which is the tail.

Well they certainly shouldn't be allowed to have nuclear weapons.
He’s in danger of being remembered as Donald Chump.
Agreed.
Took the words right out of my mouth!
