Who cut the cables?

Is there any doubt? The same outfit that took out the Nord Stream.

I'm waiting for someone to drop a nuke on the US. They've been angling for war with the entire planet, the only question is who is going to do it first. I don't think "if" even factors into it anymore.

As for CBS - obviously they went through her files. It's also obvious somebody wanted to know who her contacts were.

The American and French Revolutions had some extreme differences. Part of the cause of that is that the French had no tradition at all of self-government. Their version of a parliament had not met for several hundred years before 1789. The English Parliamentary system had some serious flaws, which were not addressed until the mid-1800s; but it was better than the French absolute monarchy.

The American colonies also had a long tradition of local government before the Revolution. A specific effort by George III and the political majority in the English Parliament to override that tradition brought on the Revolution in 1775.

One of the biggest risks of being an "elite"--in any society--is that it can give you a swelled head. Then you start overestimating both your importance and your abilities. And sooner or later, things blow up in your face. We are in the beginning stages of that here.

Concerning the thermidor, the Metcalf sniper attack was a very unusual event that was never resolved, not to mention the train derailments. The hallmarks of an insurgency? A warning of some sort?

JHK is definitely worth a read. He's a consummate wordsmith and very entertaining. He's also a classic East Coast liberal who had the grace to see the light when his party went off the deep end.

Well, I don’t read Kuntsler’s posts, and I can’t speak for anyone else, but I have this sense that the country is headed for some type of reckoning.

Good for Herridge. She had to have the goods on someone or else a good lawyer. She also kept a low non-public profile through all of this.

Now on to the Black Swan Thermidorian.

Her union , SAG-AFTRA supported her, and that freaked out cbs.

Another alternative on why this happened was it was a brushback by the CBS News President, Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews, that has been pushing Dei, against a white female that dared to question a Biden.

I'm a regular reader of James Kunstler's twice weekly posts. They are at time times dark and conspiratorial and other times humorous. He seems to express the sentiments that many Americans have today about our corrupt government and a society bent on self-destruction.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I haven’t seen the Houthis take credit for the damage to the lines. False flag to discredit them?

when it comes to information like this the first impulse is to wait for the truth. what we are told always seems to be disinformation in service of protecting the narrative.

Yes, he tells us what we already know. Unfortunately, most Americans are clueless. Since he is a Kennedy he gets a public forum to speak and have his voice heard, but his use of the term Ultra-rightests is a big turn-off for me since it's also not really accurate. Kennedy, while maybe not a true leftist he is still a Democrat so using ultra-rightest is always their go to smear. Most of the butchery by political class has been leftist yet everything fascist, authoritarian, and Marxist totalitarian becomes ultra-right wing. I think Kennedy is sort of a clown with no appeal beyond his name and if not for a pubic stance on vaccines that resonate with most of us, would be insufficient reason to consider him an alternative to Biden or Harris or any Democrat who runs for office like Nikki Hailey. He's a climate warrior and a tax and spend Demorat. IMHO.
