All well and good but it’s a technocratic band aid to a moral problem. At some point ALL of the rent seeking and the welfare has to end or what remains of the Founders Republic will end. Social security too. When has anyone heard a conservative forswear drawing down that monthly check. Save utter destitution I wish myself no part of it. Even then I would more willingly prostrate myself on the chapel threshold than a younger person’s taxes.

DOGE Team Finds FEMA Sent $59 Million Last Week To Luxury NYC Hotels For Illegals

Elon Musk's team of mid-20s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) disruptors has once again found wasteful spending—this time focusing on a $59 million payment sent by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to luxury hotels across New York City housing illegal aliens.

"The DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants," Musk wrote on X early Monday morning.

Musk explained, **"Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President's executive order,"** adding, **"That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals!"**

With all these cases of obvious fraud confirmed, is it possible for the new guys in charge, under which ever Dept of ...., to initiate charges, and seek reimbursement?

Prosecutions can only be done through Dept of Justice. Each department has an inspector general, but their authority differs from one dept to another. They would have to refer to DoJ or possibly go through FBI.

However ... Trump has fired all of the inspectors and will appoint his own. So the likelihood is that there definitely could be prosecutions.

I said it yesterday and I'll say it again today. Why don't the Dems want accountability? There lack of willingness to expose gov't corruption is the backbone of their existence. With this exposure it will be interesting to see how our elected officials react as the public is beginning to become more aware.

It's like Congress kept writing checks every year to specific people to do specific work, and Americans saw those checks get written (the budget), and could see to whom they were written and what was written in the memo field...

But when the time came to reconcile the Congressional check register with the US Treasury bank statement, there was no bank statement. So there was no reconciliation. Because no checks ever bounced (thank you Federal Reserve Bank!) and no one never asked to see if people OTHER than those who were supposed to be paid for specific work got paid. ?

Edit to add: I understand the better analogy is a business with purchase orders and invoices and a bank that writes the checks to vendors, but I'm always looking for the simplest honest analogy.

The level of corruption is staggering.

Steg: you beat me to it!! What’s even more staggering is the fact that the Democrats are are actually trying to protect a system that is so corrupt that even a blind man can see it. And while we’re on it, how can the people who voted for Kamala not see that they have been consistently betrayed by the folks who are watching out for them?

So far USAID and Treasury warrant a deep cavity financial audit of all personnel (start with the IG and internal controllers). Those that benefitted earn prison and claw-back. Many others will have earned termination for incompetence.

Tip of the iceberg.

James O’Keefe shared this post written by a DOGE member. Astounding well written account of what’s been happening behind the scenes since 1/21. I never thought I’d live to see these days of these truths being revealed.

Highly recommend a read:

I can work all year long and pay my taxes and every penny is squandered on a pride parade in the Czech Republic. Most politicians don’t care because their paychecks depend on the grift continuing. SS is running at a deficit and is paying out billions to those with bogus or duplicate SS numbers. And a corrupt judge says we have to look the other way.

It’s time to bring in Big Balls’ wrecking ball!

Samantha Power, Biden’s ex-USAID chief, saw her wealth explode while earning just $180K per year.

Where did the extra $23.3M come from? And all of this in just 3 years! USAID oversees billions in global funding—was she cashing in?

The public deserves answers. Follow the money.

It is obviously a political and fraudulent scam. Some people including politicians and officers of the government need to go to jail, and soon.
