Father in law was a WWII tanker under Patton. They called the Sherman Tanks Zippos (after the cigarette lighter) they were fueled with gas so they went up in flames “first time every time” after a hit by a German tank. Looks like the learning curve is a flat line with regard to the Bradley

Talk about a cold shower! This from John Helmer’s latest dissection of polls approving/disapproving (there’s been an uptick of disapproval) of Zhou:

“Bear in mind that, in the middle of the Ukrainian ground offensive and hours before the start of the largest NATO air operation since the alliance was created in April 1949, the war in the Ukraine is having almost no impact on President Biden’s (lead image) job approval polls and thus on his re-election.” Piles upon piles of burned out tanks and other armour, the “de-natoization” going like gangbusters, thousands of dead young Ukrainians and Russians, and more war on the horizon…Vilnius should be fun.

The Dems can choose the craziest person they can find. They will still get elected. Because - and I get sick of saying this - the voter fraud that won them 2020 has not been fixed.

Don't you mean 2020?

Indeed I do, Cosmo. Those cat's eyes are sharp :)

Your point however; is on track.

An armored "counteroffensive" without air support is insane..... as well as sadistic. The Ukrainians don't stand a chance. Evil at it's worst.

Don’t under estimate those in NATO to continue to raise the stakes to bring more balance to the playing field.

Amazes me that the Ukie army doesn't just give up. Are there really enough security troops behind them to keep them in the line?

The notion of enticing immigrants to sign up for the US armed forces with citizenship does smell like ancient Rome and the hiring of barbarian mercenaries with promises of land and citizenship in the empire. The Western empire paid the price as the barbarians ending up sacking Rome and the death spiral began.

Another similarity would be diversity of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in WWI. The Hapsburg empire was rife with internal problems stemming from diversity. Their military was extremely dysfunctional largely due to language problems among the leadership and the fighting men such that orders were misunderstood, the foot soldier didn't want to fight for a regime they did not like, etc, etc. Austrians were little help to the Central alliance. Inviting and training barbarians to fill our armed services seems like a sure fire way to destroy what's left of the productive class. That our youth are mentally ill and afraid tells us much about the state of parenting and education.

Paying Anderson Cooper millions to push a known killer drug is tantamount to subsidizing the cartels to push fentanyl into the country. Both kill, one quickly and the other insidiuously. John Kerry says there are just too many people and the Malthusians are once again pushing eugenics. Hmmmm, seems like there is an extinction event in the making and no one seems to mind except the deplorables.

CNN approved of course. MSM can be bought. What’s our remedy? Twitter?

I’m sure Anderson will donate most to a good cause.

So, Russia dusts of the Kursk defense plan and updated it for 2023 i.e, bleed em as the bang their heads against the wall. Re: the election. Who cares?? Action at the state level is the only cure to DC. I know we have to discuss it but, hell, the whole city is a s*** show and unfixable. Re: the dam. Someone other than Russia did it.

"Re: the election. Who cares?? Action at the state level is the only cure to DC" And there it is.

I am more and more of the opinion that action at the personal level is the only cure. Live the good life and ignore the government except in those few matters where they can enforce compliance, and avoid getting involved in those matters as much as possible.

I agree that personal conversion is the long term solution, but that will also entail conversion of others.

I'm not sure if they can be converted, Mark. The Covid experience taught me (or reminded me) that most people are impervious to reason. From now on, only terrifying reality will teach these folks.
