As crazy as this seemed right before Mark threw out the possibility in his earlier piece, I think it is now the more-likely-than-not scenario. In addition to: (i) the ‘gravitas’ aspect; (ii) absolutely nothing being beneath the shamelessness of the Alinskyite leadership in creating a soft-hued “we did it, Joe!” moment; and (iii) KH’s ability to pretend to be more focused on matters of state than on debating or campaigning, she can engage in absolutely throwaway efforts at distancing herself from Biden’s policies. “I’ve instructed my AG to investigate unregistered foreign agents’ influence in our politics”..,” “I’ve spoken with Secretary Mayorkas about sweeping reform of CPB border policy”...”i am supporting legislation to [un-fuck basically anything Joe has done]

If that's the de facto situation, it makes sense to make it de jure. If they were able to force Zhou out as a candidate, why not tell him to go live in Delaware permanently--right now?

If Zhou does quit before November does that automatically make Harris #47?? I’ve seen some “Trump 45/47” signs around…would those need to be updated?

Kamaltoe has not the slightest bit of self-awareness, a tin ear full of mud.

Ten years ago, I never would have thought medical martial law was possible either (and that was with a Republican in the White House). Or any of the other impossible things that have happened since then. Now here we are, with two presidents, or no president at all. Not that it makes a difference, because we know that true power in the country hasn't emanated from the White House -- or Capitol Hill for that matter -- in a very long time.

I doubt the Democrats have the stones to throw Kamala under the bus like they did Pedo Pete, for the same reason she was forced onto the ticket in the first place. She's the diversity hire that Pussy Hat Wine Mom, the core of the Democrat base, was deprived of in 2016. And unlike Hillary, Kamala has no brains, no ideas, no core values other than ambition. An empty vessel into which Wall St. and K St. can pour their depraved narratives while the world burns.

Very scary indeed. However, it seems the Germans are waking up and smelling the Kafé! They have nixed sending further miliatary aid to Ukraine. Where does this leave France…Nato?

Biden resigns in Sept. This dead-ends investigations of Biden Inc. She pardons. Loses the election, even if she receives a boost as the incumbent Pres. I do think the bait & switch option is off the table. Harris is running a $300 million ad campaign. That surely suggests she’s in.

I recently found the following analysis compelling.

https://substack.com/home/post/p-147167654

Just as we know people end up voting for the candidate they would like to sit down and have a beer with, we should know that there are a lot of people who are going to vote for the candidate they would like to go shoe shopping with.

Suppose Kamala fails to actually get out the shoe-shopping vote, here there and everywhere. They can still cheat as for Biden in 2020 to pull her sorry ass across the finish line and say she really did get out the shoe-shopping vote. And we will have no choice but to believe people really voted their shoe shopping preference... because there's no time to audit the votes between election day and certification day.

IMO, no 25th, no Impeachment. They would be way too bad looking and disruptive for the Dems. If anything happense it would be resignation under conditions of no jail time for Hunter on the current charges and no future prosecutions of Zhou or any other family members.

If Kamala becomes President then the Congress would have to approve the VP, as Mark notes. I don't think Kamala would cry herself to sleep at night over her last waltz with Walz.

Mark, >

I have been thinking this today, especially after reading your earlier post about a shake-up in the Trump campaign staff: " I also honestly believe Trump will pull away from Harris come September and October."

People really don't want a repeat or worsening of the past 4 years of this nation's 'management'.

It is a nightmare.

People do not want war...who would, except the oligarchs who make big bucks off of war?

People do not want to pay $200 for 2-3 bags of groceries that used to cost $100.

People do not want our country to be embarrassed on the world stage, as Biden & Harris have done in the past 3+ years.

I could go on, but feel my point is made.

‘….Trump will pull away from Harris come September and October."

Won’t mean a thing - Trump pulled away from Brandon. Same-old, unless the voting process is corrected.

How will we see less of her if she has to do official things as president? And she lacks gravitas because she's a cackling idiot not because her job description is insufficient.

Speaking of lacking gravitas...I just remembered when Harris met a foreign leader at the White House, early on in her term as VP. It was the Korean leader, yes. They shook hands, and she then immediately wiped the palm of her hand on her pant leg--down the front of her thigh. Disrespectful and rude, she was.

You are right that gravitas is not automatically conferred by a title (what political operatives might think aside). As for how much we might see of her, I suggest the best place to look would be Camp David.

If they make Kamala POTUS then she by default owns every failed policy.

Not gonna happen

She already owns the Biden admin failed policies by association or by direct responsibility. It's just that you will not hear the MSM admit that.

Yep. I don’t see making her POTUS for 4 months helps her one iota…..her policies only double down on stupid.

Is there some way the money can go to someone else from Kamala? Was she just a vehicle to get the campaign funds?

I don't think replacing her is doable politically at this point.

If your "what if" comes true, what are the odds that Harris will pick Walz as VP? She'd sort of have to, wouldn't she?

Expand full comment
Mark Wauck's avatar

No, she doesn't get to "pick" a VP--in such a situation the post either remains vacant or both House and Senate confirm by majority votes. I'm quite sure it would remain vacant in this scenario.

Move over Free and I’ll join you! It’s still a loooong way until Inauguration Day and just because the election might be over, I’m certain that the chicanery will be very much alive and I still don’t see these people letting go of their grasp on almost total power and allowing a second Trump Presidency to happen. I’m fully convinced that they see this election as being one for all the marbles and no option will be deemed too extreme. I’m not sure exactly how things will finally manifest themselves, but I I guarantee you that this election will be one for the history books.
