Israeli and Turkish jabs at one another look like kabuki for public consumption.

When the rubber hits the road they are the closest of allies, oil, weapons, tech, geopolitics etc.

Of course, the elephant in the room is the common enemy, Russia.

It may seem that way, close allies, no, mutual interest and different agendas, possibly.

Looks like Erdogan is going to have to play a straight game for once instead of playing both sides against each other.

Parsi correctly points out the Kurdish separatist movement as an obvious, longstanding constraint on Turkey’s freedom of movement in the region.

Curious, a few months back, about the PKK’s sudden decision to disband and photo-op with a smiling Erdogan, who declared the PKK’s 40yr mission (38.5-ish as Turkey’s most-existential “terrorist threat”) a success in bringing better representation for all walks of Turks, one of my best sources for levelheaded analysis of all things Turkey assured me that it meant nothing, that Erdogan had burned so many other avenues of support that he was like a drunk or addict spiraling down through his circles of friends to consolidate a support base of those still willing to put up with his shit.

I might be ascribing 5D chess to a clown-car world, but, perhaps, Erdogan has struck up an accommodation as to possible spoils in anticipation of this Syrian scramble?

Would Israel have sold a Patriot missile to China? Or anti missile technology?

Would they have sold F-16 tech to China? Would they have sold the crown jewels of US electronic intelligence gathering to the USSR?

I wonder who Turkey buys their arms from. I hear they have a large, highly rated military and they have historically been a pretty tough bunch, so I wonder if Israel really wants to take them on.

Israel is now in desperate straits. Their economy is in collapse, their energy and port infrastructure is in need of major repairs, their military and intelligence HQs have to be rebuilt, the IDF is exhausted and morale is very low, and they have no air defense capable of stopping Iran's hypersonic missiles. Their international reputation is the worst it's ever been and declining with every new video of slaughtered Palestinian women and children. The hate building against them cannot be overstated.

The best thing that can happen now is for Israel to launch another attack against Iran. The response this time will put an end to the Zionist regime and quite possibly start a fatal stampede out of Israel.

You are leaving out US participation in Israel's misadventures. Also nukes. I think Israel will have no great compunction against nuking whomever once its back is against the wall.

After all, those others are not actually even human!
