Wow, it sounds like Oak Park itself is a "political proving ground for the deranged" if they voted 89% for Biden. As for the editors of the Wednesday Journal, it seems they would fit right in editing Der Stuermer in Nazi Germany in the '30s. Same mindset and essentially advocating the same methods (prejudice, discrimination, scapegoating, persecution) in support of authoritarian government.

If you look at the captured page from the "Wednesday Journal," toward the bottom of the editorial they quote a movie theater CEO as follows: "The majority of people are rule followers, whatever the rules are..." How many here think that is a very scary statement? Maybe in Oak Park that is just the way they like it - but I sure am glad I am not there.

Hilariously, the editorial ends with a call for people to be "rule-followers, whatever the rules are". Not kidding.

In these communications, Biden, Trudeau, and Macron employed several practices of othering.

1. They created a majority in-group, signaled by use of the first person plural (we, us), and a minority othered group, signaled by use of the third person plural (they, them).

2. They cast blame for government pandemic policies on that othered group (“keeping us from turning the corner”).

3. They used words to signal to the in-group that they should be angry at the othered group (“many of us are frustrated,” “I really want to piss them off”).

4. Trudeau and Macron specifically used labels that devalued this othered group: misogynists, racists, enemies, non-citizens.

5. Most worryingly, Macron and Trudeau questioned whether and how to eliminate this othered group (“Do we tolerate these people?” and “How do we reduce that minority?”).

Yes, these communications were blatant and quite intentional. I wonder who is giving them their language and coordinating their statements. Do they really intend to incite a "pogrom"? At the very least they are seeking additional control of the masses in this way.

Something's gotta give.

A major sign of something, that even Dems are tiring of the BS:

Push to limit Washington state governor’s emergency powers gains legislative traction

There are bipartisan indications that lawmakers may finally move to rein in the governor.

Meanwhile here in the lone star state, Emperor Abbott I continues to rule by fiat, utilizing the clearly unconstitutional powers delegated to Governors in the appropriately named Texas Disaster Act of 1975. The Legislature did nothing to rein in our reigning Emperor during the regular session and their hands are tied in called sessions, maybe some action will be taken in the 2023 regular session. Go here and cringe along with me: https://gov.texas.gov/es
