I worry that the Yemen / Red Sea "defeat" of the West may actually end up encouraging a direct conflict with Iran. (Wounded animals are the most dangerous?) For what it is worth here is the most recent play by play: https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-restricts-diplomats-travel-israel-bracing-iran-attack-expected-weeks-end

Who knows at this point just how far the U.S. is willing to commit forces to conflict in the ME and what losses they will tolerate? On the one hand It worries me that they were willing to give the Houthis "everything" just to relieve the pressure on Israel vis-a-vis Gaza at this point. On the other it shows that they know they have few if any other options to deal with the situation. There will be a lot learned soon about who ultimately has power in Biden admin foreign policy and how important the politics of the November election are at this point. I don't have a good feeling about what we will find out.

Iranian Weapon technology advances, a dysfunctional western military industrial complex, plus very restrictive rules of engagement, have resulted in a Snafu in the Yemen Theater.

I wonder if the applies to the Korean theater? Has Russia supplied North Korea With hypersonic technology?

Russia remembers who has helped it in Ukraine.

I don’t think U.S. has withdrawn military forces from Niger yet, even though they have been asked too.

One really has to wonder about the Yemeni operation, if the US was so inclined it could easily target critical infrastructure instead of simply going after launchers.

Does the West really want Bibi in charge or is this calculated regime change? After all in 2015 Hillary said a 2 state solution was an, “Essential concept.”

Of course Bibi can’t walk back now and will throw in the kitchen sink.

Mearsheimer:

The Middle East has far more crucial economic and geopolitical implications than Ukraine. So of course US becomes less interested. The entire world doesn’t really care about Ukraine anymore outside of the West. All about the Red Sea and Gaza rn.

"Alliance entrapment theory is a critical concept in international relations. Biden doesn’t seem to know how to manage this risk at all."

I.e., when the vassal "ally" entraps the defender into a war.

Well done Houthis -- they won't sell out the Palestinians, even for their own benefit. And what a wonderful 'fuck off US' line -- "we are not within the circle of those you dictate to". You gotta love it!!
