Not directly related to this post, but most definitely indirectly in further documenting Republican complicity in the destruction of the country, Redstate is reporting that the attempt to impeach Myorkas failed to pass when 4 Republicans voted no! The border is a wide open disaster which Myorkas has facilitated at every turn and 3 Republicans decided that there just wasn’t enough evidence to support the charges. Damn, damn, damn, damn!! I am so fed up with these feckless and gutless pieces of crap actively aiding and abetting the undermining of this country.

Britain withdraws its destroyer after clashes with Yemen

Britain is withdrawing one of its destroyers HMS DIAMOND from the Red Sea because it was subjected to 3 different attacks from Yemen.

The destroyer had previously been fired at several times by missiles and drones from Yemen, who also claimed to have damaged the destroyer.

Britain claims it is withdrawing it for "technical reasons".

Someone should tell Rishi he only has about 70,000 soldiers, they’re not defending anything.

So let me get this straight. If and when Putin and Tucker invade Germany, the Ukies and the Z-man will come to their aid under their bilateral security arrangement? These aren’t serious people. Dangerous, but not serious.

I've heard that Z will even agree to don a wetsuit and fix the broken prop on HMS Queen Elizabeth. We're all in this together!

The neocon reaction to Tucker is amazing. They are giving him the oxygen of publicity.

Tom is still clinging to his Big Theory. He's better at deciphering the Ukraine madness than he is in pretending to understand who or what is controlling Powell. He also has a bad habit that a good blogger should avoid: getting snarky with commenters who challenge his beliefs. It's why I stopped reading GGG.

Which came first: the chicken or the egg, the Fed or the current US political class? To thoroughly mix my fowl metaphors, who will step up to kill the goose that is laying the golden eggs of fiat money? Are we really unconcerned with CBDCs?

Hi Cas. Thanks for your cogent points. I'll just say that the theory that Powell is working in league with the big East Coast banks isn't the amazing, world-shattering revelation that TL makes it out to be. I just get irritated when Tom tries to trade mark it as its own.

Fair points, Cas. I'll admit straight away that my financial understanding at this level is almost certainly less than yours and Tom's. I agree about the importance of 2008 for the dollar and the reverse repo hike. Tom's definitely on our side - and even if I don't buy everything he says, let's hope he's right and that there are some heavy hitters on our side. God knows we need them!

Well, FF, I can certainly forgive Tom that! The amount of evil, lies and abuse from the DS is enough to turn anyone's hair white.

Our think our confusion mirrors THEIR confusion. Even they don't know what the heck is going on anymore. Robert Gore's latest article pretty well sums it up: the DS wants total instability to fulfil their ends, but they want to control that instability. That, as always, is becoming increasingly impossible. They're thrashing around in the dark just as we are.

Tom has also put up a new GGG post that might tie into this: (just spit balling here)

Thank goodness I'm retired, enjoy beer, and am (mostly) out of harm's way. ;)

Cheers

Rats! I've done it again. I meant to include discussion of Larry Johnson's post today: https://sonar21.com/ukraine-chechnya/

LJ discusses the MKB piece. I agree with his take--which contrasts sharply with Matt Hoh--that Russia may indeed go all the way to the Polish border.

The Russians now know that NATO is going to push long-range weapons right up to the Ukrainian and Russian borders, so they might as well go all the way. The problem for them - if it is one - is that they still have some more attrition to do before they can safely launch some big arrow attacks.
