4. Iran too cannot defeat Israel with missiles alone but it definitely has overwhelming advantages of strategic depth, more manpower, and a population used to hardships due to decades of Western imposed sanctions.
5. Regime change does not appear to be a viable option for the foreseeable future given the swell of support by Iranian people for the regime during and after hostilities. Totally unanticipated by the West that had hedged their bets for a completely different outcome.
4. Even if Israel/US succeed in eliminating the Supreme Leader Khamenei, or top political and military leadership, they will be replaced seamlessly. Furthermore, it will only deepen resolve in Iran to resist such efforts.
5. More importantly, the Islamic regime is so deeply entrenched in Iran structurally and institutionally that only an indigenuous, totally endemic uprising can challenge its writ. There seems to be little evidence of that at present moment in time.
So what options do Israel/US have? The US political and military leadership is adamant Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities have been successfully destroyed. Lets hope they keep believing that. Other voices in the US continue to challenge that assertion with the obvious objective of encouraging another round of strikes on Iran.
Israel is currently on the fence on this issue and has not come out openly on its assessment of the damage US inflicted on Iran, probably more with the aim to use this time on desperately needed munitions and preparations for another round. And here lies the danger. Israel's security, infact very survival, in the Middle East is predicated on its projected image of perceived unmatched military might. That perception now lies buried in the heap of buildings that housed its strategic assets. Most importantly, that belief of impregnability has suffered a serious if not mortal blow in the perception of Israelis themselves. It is imperative for Israel to rebuild that perception, that image quickly if other powers in that region are to be kept in check. The awe of the mighty Israeli military and intelligence regime has to be restored at all costs for project Israel to survive and continue.
So this begs the question, what remaining options does Israel have it can exercuse in its confrontation with Iran that could turn the status quo back to where matters stood on 12th June 2025? Simple answer, none but one. The nuclear option. Is Israel capable of that? If events after October 7 prove anything it is yes, Israel is definitely capable of such a horrific act. And the sad reality, Israel probably knows it will get all the support it needs from the West to bail it out of the aftermath of such a criminal act. -- All B2 bombers returned safely from their heroic mission (except the one that limped into Hawaii and called AAA)
-- the Creative Writing Dept of the Pentagon, in a pathetic attempt to reinforce this bedtime story, invented a new narrative, complete with Action Figures, that goes like this: The target was the hidden ventilator shafts. All (12) bombs fell EXACTLY into 2 different shafts (which are, what?, 5-6’ in dia?) The explosions blew back up the branch vent shafts - which “explains” the other (4) holes!!!
-- The claimed CEP (circular error probability radius) of the bomb is “within a few meters” (https://tinyurl.com/45rx9dae ) This is very improbable with a previously untested weapon dropped from 10k’ or 20k’. But to suggest that they all fell within a few inches of each other - launched from (6) different aircraft - is preposterous.
-- People with actual BDA experience point out that the (6) holes are approximately the size you’d expect from Tomahawk Cruise missile impact (fired safely from a sub off the coast) This is reinforced by the reported detection of depleted uranium residue at the site - a US weapons Trademark.
-- I believe DJT *is* reluctant to shed ‘merican blood. If the Pentagon promised him that he could claim to have accomplished his “mission” with *no* casualties, guaranteed, then his OK here is understandable.
So from all the facts i’ve been able to gather it appears, again, that *no* B2’s ever entered Iranian airspace. There’s lots of published skepticism of the bombing campaign but almost no “alternative media source” is pointing this out this simple fact: The *entire* bombing story is a boldfaced lie. The Usraeli weapon systems are obsolete and haven’t been upgraded because the “West” no longer fights it’s wars with military weapons. They now rely almost exclusively on LIES. It’s way cheaper and, they believe, more effective. So how do we expect to win this war if we’re afraid to tell the truth?
Wasn't the B-2 that had to land in Hawaii part of the misdirection deception and it wasn't intended to fly to Iran? I thought that all of the B-2 planes that flew to the ME flew east (west) out (back) of (to) Missouri?
If they did drop the GBU-57s, they are not worth the cost because it doesn't look like they did much damage (unless they burrowed deep into the ground and then exploded).
Another good commentator, Mark Sleboda, compared Iran and Israel to two boxers with no defence skills remorselessly slugging each other. There is no doubt that Iran took some grave hits. However, as you say at the end, Mark, They will come back stronger. If Russia and China give them the latest manned aircraft, those US air tankers won't be so safe next time around. And Mossad won't find it easy to repeat what they did. As for Israel, where do they go from here? Iran will get the latest and most effective AD hardware from Russia; they just get the same overpriced rubbish from the US and Europe.

And Daniel Davis talked about it, yesterday, from his London vacation place, while covering the NATO confab---criticizing the lack of mention of the West's tolerance for genocide as a strategy.
