A day or so ago e-correspondent Jim sent me a NYT article about Hunter facilitating a Chinese purchase of one of the largest cobalt deposits in the world.
Yes I sense that too but there are two mitigating factors:
1) She is the "dream candidate" politically for the Dems. She is just about their only hope for 2022 and 2024, now.
2) She could be a proxy for Obama's formal return to power.
If the Dems are desperate enough (and it appears they are) or if Obama's backers crave the power it would bring I think it could happen despite her apparent misgivings.
As brazen as the former president and his wife are, it wouldn't surprise me if she was installed. The left would go crazy and vote for her. She could be a figurehead, enjoying the adulation while he would work out his spite and make wise pronouncements at important events. Jarrett and Rice would spend the hours making policy and decisions. Quite a nightmare, isn't it.
My view, as well, but I cited the article as an example of the rampant speculation that seems to be fueled by real events--albeit mostly behind the scenes.
