What we’ve seen in the Speakership fight/impasse has been the role of the Military Industrial Intel Complex (MIIC) in influencing the shape and direction of our elected representatives. Will the election today of Mike Johnson as Speaker—unquestionably a setback for the DC Establishment—change that to any great extent? I’m not going to start holding my breath, yet.

How are actions of Israel not called terrorism when they attack and kill far more civilians than Hamas? In addition to destroying homes and stealing their lands. Either deliberately targeting civilians is terrorism or it is not. Exempting our client countries from that definition makes that designation suspect.
