Maybe Gaza becomes the new HongKong?

Seems like the deep state sees the writing on the wall (multi polarity) and is quietly acquiescing.

Trump might be preparing for a soft landing for a post US dollar world, institutions on the ‘free money’ train are being stripped.

Of course revolutions always eat their children and the globalist vanguard are being hung to dry.

From CNN:

Attorney General Pam Bondi is expected to order a review of the cases brought against President Donald Trump, including those undertaken by prosecutors in New York who successfully defeated him in court.

Sworn in at the White House on Wednesday, Bondi intends to issue a series of memos aimed at curbing the so-called weaponization of the Justice Department, a source familiar with her plans told CNN.

She will order the review of criminal and civil cases against Trump, including the two federal cases brought by the Biden Justice Department, and issue a warning to employees that serving their own personal politics as opposed to the Trump administration would be punished.

I know Trump is very busy with many domestic affairs and many including financial scrutiny are applauded - I just don't know how he unrings the gaza bell - in terms of US not making a commitment and the perception of MidEast civilians (many in the west do not care or are perhaps not informed) .

Egypt and Jordan controlling civilian populations without an uprise or civil war - matters.

MidEast Perception of the West Counts; Trust and Credibility - Counts.

Or perhaps that is the plan - entice a break in the Palestine Gaza Cease-fire - cause government chaos in Jordan and Egypt

Why would Palestine return Israeli hostages, if Trump says as soon as they do, US will take over Gaza and move everyone out ?

speaking of Mitch on the Tulsi full senate vote: he took another ignominious and embarrassing tumble down the Senate stairs this morning. Its ridiculous that he is still serving. One of these days he will take a tumble and really hurt himself or worse

Just read that again slowly: "federal funding to sanctuary cities". The government of the USA has been funding the deliberate breaking of the laws they have passed.

Thanks for posting this. Earlier, sloppy reporting suggested that Bondi was halting all "federal funding" to sanctuary cities, which she, obviously, cannot do. Even as limited to DOJ contracting/funding, it seems well-targeted because most of the lawfare types reside among the recipient classes here.

Pretty impressed with how much forethought went into a lot of these otherwise wrecking-ball-seeming initiatives (Gaza, though? Don't know about that). For example, the America First Policy/Legal and aligned folks well anticipated the outcry and lawfare over a President's limitations in creating new gov entities by simply repurposing the legislatively-created, Obamacare-era US Digital Service as DOGE. Missions of USDS and DOGE largely align, so the lawsuits and outrage should fall flat. Pretty brilliant.

You left out an important video discussion of what's going on with Trump--Scott Ritter with Judge Nap:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_IkCkQTXu0

I highly recommend it. I'm not saying I agree with Ritter entirely, but it's thought provoking.

My own view remains that Trump is attempting to force peace by injecting himself into the process with the implicit threat of US retaliation for anyone who is recalcitrant. Like Macgregor and Ritter, I don't believe that Trump wants war. I think Trump believes he can bluff/threaten antagonists into an arrangement under a Pax Americana with himself at the head of it all. That seems to be what he's also trying to push on Russia, China, and Iran as well.

I don't think it can work because I think it rests upon an inflated notion of US power projection capabilities and his own ability to pull off a grand bluff. Russia and China have already called his bluff, rejected his terms and demanded to be treated as equals with respect. This is why I think he's making a big mistake with his rhetoric. These aren't business rivals. These are the heads of ancient nations with a high degree of cultural pride.

It's starting to look like Trump is beginning to realize he may have shit in his own mess kit. His interest is to extricate the US from all these various entanglements. He wants to do it by stepping in as the Great Dealmaker in a whirlwind of dealmaking. It's not that easy.

His rhetoric has also raised a storm of denunciation around the world, including from KSA and UAE. Reliable Zio-shills like Luongo and Smith will repeat Zio-talking points that that's just cover for complicity, but it's not. Trump's repeated and open insistence that he can force Egypt and Jordan to bend the knee to his dictates is not well gauged to obtain compliance. Arab culture doesn't reward rulers who kiss ass publicly. This was simply not well thought through. But much the same can be said about most of his foreign policy rhetoric. Talking loudly while carrying a stick that everyone knows is no longer as big as it used to be is not a recipe for success.

Re Canada and Mexico, his plans IMO aren't so unrealistic. Check out the trade stats--Canada and Mexico are overwhelmingly dependent on doing business with the US. But demeaning rhetoric isn't necessary in either case--it can be firm but it doesn't need to demean the nations, even when antagonistic toward their leaders. In reality, much of the problems in our relations with these important neighbors--important to us--were brought about by past US policies linked to imperial ambitions. We should always have been opposed to the Canada - Brit links and the Five Eyes stuff. But that's our fault, not theirs.

Greenland? Denmark has no business in our neighborhood.

I don't disagree. I wonder whether in conducting deep research while writing The Art of the Deal, Trump bothered to read Sun Tzu, The Art of War? Sun Tzu knew a thing or two about deal making in foreign relations.
