No. We ACTUALLY did go into a science field. I’m a registered nurse graduate of 1990. I had to study a multitude of science classes that were more advance than required for a teaching degree. We had to be able to write perfectly in essay form how every part of a cell works; trace a drop of blood throughout the body (telling where the pathogen would be attacked and how) with any portion wrong failing us. Masks are worn in surgery to keep my sweat and spit from dropping into an open surgical area. The masks are taken off among the medical staff AS SOON as we are out of patient care area. NOW: we follow the mandates so our hospital gets paid. We have to pull that mask down to communicate with near dead patients. Our doctors ask us to make the patient hear what he just said. So we pull down the mask and repeat, sometimes right in the patient’s ear what was said. Each of our docs have that done cuz- hey! They make 10-20 X our wage & would be a grand target to sue.

All about control & $.

Much better this morning. She had been a bit nauseous from pain medication but she stopped those and went with straight Tylenol overnight. Slept and had a good breakfast. The physical therapy aspects are coming along just as expected.

"Courage."

(Wasn't that Dan Rather more than a few years ago?)

Coincidentally, this short essay on that topic came into my inbox this morning, recommended:

I hope your wife is on the mend, Mark, and well done for your courage! I had exactly the same experience when I visited my ailing father-in-law in hospital recently. No-one gave a damn about the masks, and I even got a lot of smiles from the staff. We're so over this garbage. By contrast, on the way home from work yesterday, I heard a government announcement on the (French) radio. A concerned daughter is urging her parents to get the jab to "protect" themselves. All very touching! The French are one of the last holdouts here in Europe, apart from - and this goes without saying - the Germans.

Thanks for reporting from "the inside!" One of these years, commonsense will just HAVE to make another appearance!

Good luck with that😔. We were told we could shed masks by May 1 at our rural hospital. We survive on Medicaid/Medicare so CMS is in control. We wear masks in direct patient care..

I’m grateful that your wife’s surgery went well and that y’all are home. It makes me sad that there are still places pushing masks.

Good for you! I’m glad your family is doing well. Mask fighting got me involved early on. Our school board is corrupt nazis just laughing at parent protests so I took my kid out of school. 4 days later the principal asked my kid to come back.... no mask. My son was the only kid in school, that I know of, that did not wear a mask spring 2020. I told many other parents but they didn’t want to keep their kid at home they rather send mass email threats.... when you stand up for your rights things change.... also when you take away their money (from attendance) they listen. I don’t do empty threats, lawsuits. I take action that’s in my power. I will never wear a mask unless there’s a BAD smell lol

I'll admit I felt ashamed for even that degree of compliant noncompliance, but I wanted to be there for my wife. I spent the day roaming the halls of the very large hospital, and the only two people who challenged me were two Karens in the surgery lounge. Not a single person in the pre-op and post-op areas, where anti-infection measures are at the peak. It's all utterly nuts. Everyone with an ounce of knowledge knows it.

Look you were there to support your wife not make a personal rights statement or make the day about stupid cabal CONTROL. No need for shame. You made people commit to their idiotic bullshit and tell you to pull up your mask. They will be the ones with the shame that will NEVER go away when they finally get a clue… or die. I did this in the early days… had people chasing me around watching for mask slip which I purposefully tortured them with lol. I look at people wearing masks with pity at this point…. Just simpletons ….. Also mask wearers most likely got the shot so hopefully that will keep some of their funk off me…. It won’t, cuz protein is tiny, but that’s what I would scream at them lol.

I never wore a face diaper during this scam. I refused to bow down to these zealots. I refused to be vaccinated with an 'emergency' vaccine. Looking back, my instincts proved to be better than anything Fauci and his cult of followers recommended. God help those who succumbed to his lies.

I was foolish and let peer pressure get me as a nurse to “do it for others” Dec 29, ‘20. Metallic taste on my way home. Sick in bed 3 days. Weird. Stuff ever since. I’m swabbed each week to comply w my “medical exemption”.

Good for you!! I did the same thing for the past two years: Namely (and the most important thing!), NO CLOT SHOTS!! There used to be a time in this country that vaccinations were VOLUNTARY (except, of course, if/when one was travelling abroad). I certainly hope & pray that Life will return to a semblance of "normal" sooner rather than later!

I suspect I'm not the only one who has become far more skeptical about "vaccines" during the Covid Regime. Not dogmatic but--I want to know how they're made, how they work, what's their target and does that make any sense, effectiveness, and whether they affect the immune system. A lot has changed since the first vaccines, and historical study seems to indicate that much of the public health benefit assigned by enthusiasts to vaccines was actually the result of better sanitation and hygiene measures.

We had 2 just admitted in our extremely rural hospital with COVID/Flu A (?) to acute (we only have a 12 bed capacity.. with a variety of problems-heart etc. BOTH had boosters. Even the nurses who were pressuring all to get all vaccines have backed down.
