...The pardons are so devoid of merit that even Democratic allies denounced them. If the President is trying to find other examples of unwarranted pardons, he succeeded. However, it will not remove the stain of his son's pardon. This is one area where the solution is not dilution.

The sheer size of the corruption of Rita Crundwell [Dixon, IL] in the embezzlement of $54 million surpasses even the haul of the Biden family. Former judge Michael Conahan not only took $2.8m for jailing more than 2,300 children, but is accused of contributing to a suicide...

Some of Biden's pardons are so inexplicable that they border on taunting. Biden was the focus of an alleged multimillion-dollar influence-peddling operation. He not only pardoned his son of any such crimes, but pardoned a judge and comptroller for corrupting their own offices...

Yes, a new world order is on the way, and it is being driven by China and the rest of the world moving away from the ways of the US…so if the US wants to be a player (Wall Street making money worldwide, and why it made peace with Trump), then accepting China’s invitation to work together is the way to go.

Think synchronicity, not harmony. China is onboard the Digital train, as is India, so the US really has no choice.

Yes. Trump is trying to look like he's driving the train. He's not simply a passenger, obviously, but he's not in charge of events for the long term. He's trying to keep the US competitive for that long term, but that will end up being the result of larger societal factors, IMO.

Embezzling money from the city of Dixon - wouldn’t that be a state crime and thus a federal pardon is not applicable?

She was charged and held federally. Didn't see any state charges reported, so, local prosecutors probably figured at the time that she was dead-to-rights on federal wire-fraud charges, and that the feds had better statutory, investigative and forfeiture levers to deliver justice and put her away for a long time.

Great point on water - wow.

Terrorist attacks have a large support staff behind the actual perpetrators. The reconnaissance, supplying the bomb, creating a bomb, transporting the bomb, training, technical support, recruitment, etc. This assassination was more than a two person job.
