I like this quote and it resembles the same spirit of old Russia following the demise of the Byzantine Empire. It was Russia who assumed the role of protector of the Eastern Orthodox Faith. This was one of the major causes of the Crimean War and like today France and England are aligned against Russia. Although this time around the Turks appear on friendlier terms with Russia today than in 1853 when the Ottoman Turks declared war on Russia and received help and support from Europeans powers. It always seems to come back to the imperialism of European powers in the middle east.
