All Biden has to do is declare victory and cease all American involvement in the Ukraine before the midterm election. It worked for Afghanistan. All the more so as our media tells us the Russians are bogged down, Putin is on the ropes and he will be deposed in short order.

I can hear it now: "Just when Ukraine was about to finish off Putin and U.S. economic growth was set to explode, Republicans reduce support to Ukraine, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and throw the economy into a deep, dark, inflationary recession."

Wait. Americans want Congress to focus on issues that actually affect America? Someone alert Mr. Ripley; he’s never gonna believe this!

Ben Wallace - The UK Defence secretary is one of the names being touted as potential replacement for Liz Truss. The headlines here are that he cut short cabinet meetings to fly to Washington because there is a real fear that Putin is going to release a nuclear warhead in the Black Sea. That is the fiction we are being sold. So maybe there is going to be a nuclear false flag ahead of your midterms?

"McCarthy suggested that Americans want Congress to focus on issues closer to home."...??? I thought the polls were quite clear - no suggesting is required. It's the economy, stupid!

Kevin Worried about getting that job?Why is it a given that it's his? Wishful thinking on my part but then I thought this whole election would never happen a year ago

What a joke of an 'news' article. Putin is losing ground and might be considering nukes? How about this: "Putin is about to run the table, the GOP has just stepped one foot off the Ukraine war bandwagon, Europe is dying, and the UK is in complete disarray. UK is meeting with the US to figure out how to turn the table over and hide their failure--without starting WWIII."

“… hide their failure--without starting WWIII."

Or, just as likely, by starting WWIII.

I'll go with that.

Uk is about to be implicated in something… : Could be - didn't Germany just announce they know who committed the attack but refused to name names.

The Germans (and Swedes) know that it was the US or their proxies. But they daren't say or Uncle Sam might wave the big stick at them.

Nice calls, Mark:

"Boom. Past tense. Implying that Russian intentions may have changed and that Ukraine’s very existence is now in play. To my way of thinking, there is simply no way that Putin would say that if he had any significant doubt that he could follow through. He knows he’s winning. And that means that his enemies in the collective West are losing—bigly."

"The world is watching the US midterms. A Republican Congress with even a few outspoken opponents of elite war mongering could change the dynamics of US foreign policy virtually overnight."

I can't get this Boston University thing out of my head either. Why would any sane entity do that kind of thing?

Alex Mercouris was saying today that Zhou is desperate to have some Ukrainian victory before the election. That would be one possibility. There may be another.

Well, even General Armageddon seems worried about the Ukies taking Kherson. Of course, it could be an act and Russia are about to wipe the floor with the attackers. However, we just don't know.

With 'desperate' being the keyword: Biden reeks of it.

Agreed. I'm pro-Russia on this one but whenever I hear from sites like The Saker and Sonar21 that the Ukies are suffering massive casualties, I always ask: how the heck do they know that?

With all due respect, we have no idea what data either side is looking at. We know what propaganda each side is putting out. we don't get classified intelligence briefs from the CIA, and considering how far off some of their recent estimates have been you might be better off getting your data elsewhere.

It's not uncommon for even good intel to simply be ignored. You can't tell the boss anything he doesn't want to hear. Brandon isn't the first national leader to live in his own little reality bubble.
