I'm not sure who has it worse... Kagan has to sleep in the same bed as Nuland or Nuland has to sleep in the same bed as Kagan.

"What kind of people would make such a suggestion—and for what reasons?" - the kind of people, that, when caught with an open bag of cookies and asked how many cookies they ate, they reply, "none, YOU ate the cookies"

It would certainly be a shame if the entire State Dep't. fell down the stairs--en masse--and rolled out into the street where their collective entrails were run over by a rusty garbage truck.

That would truly be a shame.

We continue to inhabit two Americas, with two different stories: one story for inside the Beltway, another story for outside the Beltway.

From Kagan's May 2016 piece of work,

"What [feckless Republicans] do not or will not see is that, once in power, Trump will owe them and their party nothing. He will have ridden to power despite the party, catapulted into the White House by a mass following devoted only to him. By then that following will have grown dramatically. Today, less than 5 percent of eligible voters have voted for Trump. But if he wins the election, his legions will likely comprise a majority of the nation. Imagine the power he would wield then. In addition to all that comes from being the leader of a mass following, he would also have the immense powers of the American presidency at his command: the Justice Department, the FBI, the intelligence services, the military. Who would dare to oppose him then?"

2016. I still recall the reports of agitators sent in to provoke violence at Trump's rallies so that the media could report that violence breaks out at Trump rallies because people are so afraid of a Trump presidency. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2016/06/25/harbinger-future-6-times-militant-progressive-left-used-violence-shut-donald-trump/

It's not really about Trump--it's about us. They really hate us.

But the counter-intuitive thing is that if they actually decided to take Trump out he would become a martyr and an even greater symbol than he is today of everything 'we' hate about 'them'. It would be a flashpoint for far more violence than we've seen to date. It would be just about the stupidest thing they could do. That doesn't mean they won't do it.

That's exactly what the DeepState wants us to do.

"That doesn't mean they won't do it."

Exactly. Look at all the other seemingly counter-intuitive things they've done. When you lack intuition--insight into the structure and working of the real world of human nature ...

You go for the counter-intuitive because it seems normal.

Cass: An outbreak of violence would play right into their hands because I am fully convinced that martial law is the endgame. I think they would welcome the opportunity to close the loop completely and be able to cover themselves by saying ,“We didn’t want to do it, but we had a greater responsibility to the nation in order to rescue democracy from the throes of chaos and anarchy”. It then becomes the patriotic thing to do to start rounding up us, most surely with the help of our fellow citizens, undesirables and shipping us off to reeducation camps or carbon impact reduction facilities.

Yep. Good men and diverse women inside the beltway who are hearing the correct story will act correctly to save our democracy. As they did in response to the threat back in 2016.

I have always thought that if all else fails, taking DJT permanently off the stage was not beyond the realm of possibility for the deep state. Crazy as it would be, there are an infinite number of “crazies” and “patsies” to blame it on to deflect blame from the real perpetrators. It’s been over 60 years and there’s just as much blue smoke and mirrors about JFK’s death now as there was then.

Yep, I absolutely wouldn’t put it passed them.

As you posted the other day Mark, the Houthi tripwire might be the one, just not in the way we might have expected.

Tucker is right, the next year is going to be one for the history books, so make sure your seatbelts are fastened and that your tray tables are in upright and fully locked position.

They still have a few more tricks to play before assassination tops the list: lawfare and imprisonment, voter fraud, etc. But nothing is off the table.

Kagan and anybody else suggesting Trump’s assassination are freaking insane. Kagan a domestic terrorist?
