Great graphic. Thank you. Many (most) north americans are geographically challenged. End result? They really don’t know how things work.

Meanwhile, in the Pacific, China patiently waits, and quietly prepares. The whole Taiwan thing is about to unfold come spring. The smart set insisted that orange man had to be defeated last go around to avoid a world aflame. Well, how’d that work out?

My father grew up poor during the Depression. He taught me to not spend everything I had and to put away some for a rainy day. He'd tell me, "You don't need that" and "money doesn't grow on trees."

He's gone now but Joe Biden and DOD need his wisdom. Regarding war in Yemen, he could tell Joe, "You don't need that." As far as lobbing missiles, he'd tell DOD, "Missiles don't grown on trees."

Once again, the US and UK have gone into a war without a clearly thought out strategic plan or an exit strategy. Will Schryver's list of consequences of the US actions is entirely realistic. Meanwhile, as you reported, Mark, Russia has entered the Middle East chatroom with it's Iran deal. The Biden Regime seems to have taken this onboard, and it has to be one of the reasons for their current clumsy efforts to chummy up to Iran. However, whether the Russia-Iran pact will rein in Netanyahu is another question. He might defeat Hamas (unlikely), but coming out of that conflict with an even stronger Iran, and therefore Hizbullah, will hard to sell as any kind of victory.

“A Fool with a Plan is better off than a Genius without a Plan!” - T. Boone Pickens

What about fools who have no plans? They have directed "the American way of war" for virtually the entire time since WWII. Not having reasonable plans or goals won't even work against khat-chewing camel jumpers, as our leaders should have known by now.

The Duran mentioned:

Pakistan supplied Ukraine with 155 shells

South Korea supplied Ukraine with 155 shells

Israel supplied a radar for use with Patriot Missiles

How will Russia respond?

By stirring the pot from behind the scenes. They've already begun with their alliance with Iran, and feelers to Rocket Man. Exciting times, Ray!

Hey Ray and S'21,

I've oft wondered how Russia has managed to restrain itself from taking out the Surveillance network used to target and direct Ukrainian munitions. The sorta accidental downing of that one Drone aside, I do think it was unintentional. THAT said, there are reports of 2 of those 30 Million dollar drones having been downed in the ME, I believe over Syria. Those shoot-downs would be logical in view of the fact the Electronic Warfare Russia employs in the Ukraine theater would likely be limited, if available a'tall in the Syria area.

Frankly, having seen images of (alleged) N Korea made hypersonic-type missiles I'm not going to be surprised when a carrier or other major battleship gets sunk. Since Hyper-sonics can be air launched from a very long distance, proving who actually is responsible may be nigh impossible. Especially when some incapable - but under-attack group such as the Houthis - claim it was theirs. What? Not fair? Hmmm, seems we're using the Might of the US Military to attack camel-towed artillery... (Best sarcasm I can muster).

As always, my sincere best regards to you two. Thanks for sharing your thoughts (and enduring my long-winded ones, too!) (WrH)

I wondered about the Russians and US surveillance systems too, Wayne. Especially as they are what are stopping Russia from launching any big arrow offenses. Maybe the Russians don't want to give the GAE an excuse to react even more crazily, or they are happy with how things are going now with their smaller scale nibbling attacks.

The larger drones are easily downed, and are safe only against low tech 3rd world foes. Basically fighting insurgents such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Isis.

That is why neither side is using larger drones on the Ukrainian battlefield.

Cheaper suicide drones, such as the Russian / Iranium Geranium are around $50-$100k, with enough quantity are a different matter. The U.S. missiles used to shoot them down cost more in the millions than the drones. Patriot missiles are $4 million each, and only 500 a year are made.

Somewhat off topic but do we have a missile defense system on the US mainland? I always read/hear about the Patriot systems that we provide to our proxies as well as our military bases around the world to diminishing effect. After all, we are supposed to have a "defense" department. It seems we are on offense more than defense.

A little.

The idea being we want to be able to defend against North Korea, but not enough to destroy the mad doctrine.

Important point you make, Ray. As Will Schryver noted, the Patriot super-defenders are super... expensive and Hypersonic's apparently manage to not be susceptible to them. Let alone, like most of US's arms materiel, they'll be running out way before their need expires. Well, I guess if we surrender they would no longer matter... Also, Will's note (that aside from Desert Storm which sorta was successful) US hasn't won a war since WWII (I think his qualifier being we bombed the cr@p outta a bunch of 3rd world countries). BTW, an interesting note about our entry into said conflict, Russia had already turned the tide against Hitler when we finally engaged. But never fear, we've got some really, really pretty flags that'd make the enemy think of rainbows and probably cause them to surrender instantly. I probably should give up on the sarcasm - oh well it's laugh or cry sometimes. Best at you sir! (Wrh)

Flags are important, Wayne, in our make-believe world. Remember how the trans and rainbow flags over the US embassy in Kabul held back the Taliban?:)

My thought as well. Rainbows and puppy dogs, bring Warriors to tears and then they'll surrender, well, maybe the 21st century American warriors. Wait, is there a politically/LGB-alphabet+ correct gender of warrior I should be using? Oh no! I don't know. Ugh.
