Yesterday in a comment I quoted a portion of a post by John Hinderaker, which cast doubt on Zhou’s actual functioning in the White House. Hinderaker’s post was prompted by Zhou’s remarkable statements regarding the Student Loan scam, which clearly indicated that Zhou believes that Congress passed an actual law allowing the forgiveness of student loans. The reality, of course, is that Zhou issued an executive order in that regard. No vote in Congress, no law. It was a stunning moment even by the low level of Zhou’s functioning we’ve become accustomed to. Hinderaker asked the obvious questions: Did Zhou simply sign off on a piece of paper that was placed in front of him? Did he have any real idea what he was signing?
The beautiful set-up behind this question of who issues instructions to underlings is that when everything goes haywire, there's no donkey to pin the tail on.
I’ve been of the opinion for some time that Zhou is not even sure what planet he’s on most of the time, so the idea that he would know what he signed or have any memory of it is highly improbable. That still leaves us with the question everyone is asking, “Who the hell is running this country, because it sure isn’t Joe Biden?”
I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that the country is in this incredible nightmare!!!!
The problem since Biden has been in place is that it doesn't matter what we, the citizens suffering under this administration, think. We have no seat at the table except for our elected representatives who apparently will not initiate Biden's removal under the condition of obvious mental incapacity. It was Kevin McCarthy who unwisely stated that a Republican controlled House would not move to impeach Biden. On the other hand, how much more damage can be done to the nation in Biden's name before the Republicans have the majority? McCarthy may have placed himself in a perilous position, particularly after his initial backing of Liz Cheney before reversing course. At least he knows the right answer when told. He needs to be told again.
McCarthy would seem to be a poor choice for Speaker assuming the Republicans are able to overcome Democratic election shenanigans and take control of the House. That said I do not know who would be a good choice, but there appears to be a possibility of the Speaker being someone other than an elected Representative. Perhaps Gabbard?
This is what is frightening me the most. Like him or hate him, Putin is a rational actor. American decisions seem to be made by committees, which are not rational actors, because Biden is simply incapable of making decisions. We could easily blunder into a major war by mistake. It would be much safer having just about anybody in charge than what we have now, which is nobody in charge.

“Rishi Sunak has become prime minister without a vote by anyone and without saying a word in public during his campaign. Quite extraordinary.”
Sure sounds like “Their Democracy” in action.
Remember that it is “Their Democracy,” not ours.
I did laugh at Joey B trying to say Rishi Sunak and ending up with Rashi Sanook.

Maybe Jim Jordan.

…or, even worse, as Julie Kelly speculates, it’s the sisterhood of Haines, Rice and Monaco who are pulling the strings:

sounds quite plausible !🎃
You forgot about Valerie Jarrett!
