It won’t be anyone’s fault of course. Some things happened

I see he doesn't bother to mention the choice to raise energy prices.

This comment might be counterintuitive...or wrong...but I believe *everything* they do is intentional. Intentionally conceived to gain and retain power. Biden may bumble but the considered actions of his keepers are all intentional. Watch what they actually do.

Consider:

Immigration: Illegal immigration on the southern border may bother normals like us, because its well...illegal...but why have borders? Aren't borders a vestige of the patriarchy? Open borders make lots of guilty-feeling suburban soccer moms (who will never see an illegal immigrant in the flesh) and white Trump-haters feel good. Maybe enough to hold a few close congressional seats in November.

The foregoing is true of everything they do. Consider:

Ukraine: A lot of normals think there is no vital national security interest to be protected by spending $40 or $60 or $80 billion for Ukraine, but the Dems hope a few 'patriotic' Americans will be lured in to vote for the oh so red, white and blue Dem party. Maybe enough to hold a few close congressional seats in November.

Green New Deal: Many conservatives are concerned that restricting oil and gas development in favor of unproven, uneconomic green strategies may be devastating. The Dems don't care because those many Americans who they've persuaded that climate change will destroy the planet will unquestioningly vote for the Green New Deal. Maybe enough to hold a few close congressional seats in November.

Lockdowns, Vaccines and Masks: Conservatives who have studied 'the science' know that lockdowns, repeated vaccinations, masks and mandates don't prevent the transmission of covid, but many Americans believe it is thoughtless and cruel if you don't wear your mask and they will vote for candidates who tell them they're right. Maybe enough to hold a few close congressional seats in November.

Insurrection: Lots of Americans believe White Supremacists staged an attempted coup in Washington on January 6. Normals know that never happened. Dems will keep repeating their version and some Americans will believe them. Maybe enough to hold a few close congressional seats in November.

Roe v. Wade: Anybody who knows how Roe was decided knows that it was decided wrongly. The Constitution matters and the Supreme Court should correct its mistake. It doesn't mean no abortion will be permitted. The Dems will tell women and flowers that the Republicans mean to ban abortion. Many will believe them. Maybe enough to hold a few close congressional seats in November.

Gun Control: There is no evidence that a ban on something called 'assault weapons' will prevent crazies from committing mass murder. If you are crazy enough to want to shoot up a school a little law forbidding you from owning a rifle isn't going to stop you. Plus there's the small matter of the 2A. But if you're not in favor of banning assault weapons you are in favor of school shootings. Many voters will agree. Maybe enough to hold a few close congressional seats in November.

Where does the 'truth' factor into their strategy? It doesn't. Its irrelevant. Its just about power.

Totally agree.

Only I'm not sure that votes are their only play. Their polls must be telling them that they're going to be slaughtered in November...though perhaps they can't bring themselves to believe that fact.

But a lot of the policies that you mention are aimed at longer term strategies. They've taken it into overdrive with Biden, and I suppose that it's because Trump exposed the kettle that all us frogs have been sleeping in. So they have to accelerate their plans.

Here we move beyond blue-red wrangling and into the uber struggle of globalists and WEF trying to bring about their feudal-eugenic vision.

That wasn't a choice, it was the plan since Obama's energy secretary Steven Chu declared that energy prices needed to mirror the European levels setting a target of $9.00/gal.. Trump interrupted this strategy and Progressives are in a hurry now to enact their climate change agenda. They have no interest in the consumer beyond stimulating pain.

Sounds an awful lot like they chose to raise energy prices.

I thought it was interesting that Dimon neglected to mention the administration's choice to raise energy prices by abandoning energy independence. That is the action that started the inflation snowball rolling. Perhaps you misunderstood me?

Perhaps, but it wasn't clear to me and I was not criticizing your comment simply adding my own commentary. I do agree with you on the subject.

I've been through a cat 1 hurricaine, and it's an unusual experience. The thing is, you can actually feel it coming long before it gets there. It gets warm, and the breeze kicks up, and the pressure drops, and the air just feels weird.

I went to bed that night with the outside air just feeling disturbed, and was awakened by the sound of the actual hurricane outside, and it's loud. (It was Hugo, by the way, and it was much reduced in force by the time it got to me.)

Point is, right now the air feels weird, and I have a feeling that loud is coming.
