Joe Biden will announce that he’s not running for re-election soon. I’d guess within a few months.

That was the deal that was cut for Hunter. Hunter goes free and the Biden bribes get buried in exchange for Joe Mumbles stepping aside for Newsom.

That’s my theory.

Reading the comments, I feel obliged to add another comment. Such negativity! The government needs us more than they know. We can ignore them more than you think. Just go about your business and have a good life. Do not oppose them if we cannot vote them out. Leave them with the problem of providing bread and circuses for their new serfs. We are not serfs. Let them deal with other countries. Unfortunately we cannot even count on them to defend us from the lawless, or even let us defend ourselves, and must act prudently. But they cannot control our minds and hearts, or prevent us from living our lives in a meaningful manner. Government is not the be-all and end-all of our existence, although it was nice when I felt patriotic. Maybe we'll get our Country back...

What is, is. You adapt. You do not stop living. And yes, you pay your taxes. You don't give them an excuse to come after you. But for anything above and beyond minimum compliance with the law they get nothing. If they win Washington, they have lost the tremendous potential of this Country.

Expand full comment

Absolutely, government is not the be-all and end-all of our existence, but since government is force, it’s a real problem for any who don’t get on board. In the past you could keep your head down and try to stay invisible, but that’s impossible in the technological surveillance state. The negativity is perfectly understandable.

May I recommend an article in todays American Thinker entitled: "Trust Is Gone from Healthcare (and Washington)" by Deane Waldman, M.D. I do not foresee Revolution, Civil War or even civil disobedience, nor do I recommend them. I foresee worse. I foresee indifference. Rule by mass surveillance or more domestic control cannot counter this. We carry on, a house divided.

You don't have to hold as I do that Donald Trump is a genius. These people are dumb. And arroigant.

"Never interfere with your enemy when he is making a mistake." Napoleon said that. Trump believes you should help them.

The indictment is election interference? It's an attempt to derail Trump's comeback effort in 2024? What if it turns out to be the 'tiger trap' Trump is looking for?

Everybody is looking at every detail to "save" Trump, unless they want to bury him. How come Trump is not cooperating with his lawyers, and shooting off his mouth making remarks not appropriate to his defense?

Maybe Trump understands the important thing is in the appearance, just how legitimate are the actions of a government something like half of the citizens already view as illegitimate. A 'win' might prove to be like Pearl Harbor for the Japanese, and make our government a GINO in our eyes and those of the world, a Government in Name Only that nobody would respect, and would get compliance from others only when unavoidable.

Thomas Jefferson was correct when he said periodic revolutions were necessary. Or words to that effect.

Probably off-topic, but until I read this post I had no idea that William Barr's dad wrote science-fiction. I just read a summary of one of his novels, and, my God, it sounds like the product of an incredibly twisted mind.

My rule of thumb, from decades of dealing with criminals and bureaucrats, is that twistedness is rarely if ever compartmentalized. It bleeds over into other parts of life. Children recognize that early on. Young Bluto probably did, too.

Um, what's a "reader bar"? I'm perfectly willing to make things as easy as possible, but substack doesn't always make it easy. For example, Musk shut down embedding tweets, so all those helpful short videos are no longer embeddable.

I hope you saw my next comment which said I found it! It just looked like a "forward" arrow at the top of the page, but when I pushed it a lady voice started reading to me your post. it was wonderful and informative. Thanks. And a reader bar (my jargon) is usually in the article at the top and it has the timeline across and the start button you hit. That is where I have normally seen them.

A month before the 2020 election he said he was on top of potential voter fraud and even mentioned the locations he was watching. They must have got to him. Stick? Carrot? Then there was the story of the boy friend of the daughter of the Governor of Georgia getting blown up in his car. That sounds kind of persuasive.

Nobody got to him, he planned this with a great deal of misdirection to fool the plebes. This guy was a Bushie so he was not an honorable nor a decent man. This is the problem with psychopaths who are usually found in government especially in the justice department.

Your reply is greatly appreciated, although it brings up the possibility that only like-minded psychopaths can get a foothold in Washington. It makes me admire what Trump accomplished all the more, as all he could do was change the particular psychopath in charge of any Department. Rather than adopt a defensive strategy, Trump now seems more like a man on a mission, and may be directing his efforts to bringing the whole house of cards crashing down. Since hiring in Washington seems to be more on a basis of who you know rather than what you know, he has an advantage. You don't poke the Lion.

On the one hand, I do and always have admired the things that Trump accomplished, as well as his courage in the face of maniacal attacks.

On the same hand, I do consider Trump to be preferable to any of the midgets currently running.

On the other hand, I wish Trump would stop saying dumb things like he said today (or yesterday?) about threatening Putin.

On the other hand, Trump needs to free himself from the Russia Hoax and the Covid Hoax--for the sake of the country. American needs a president who can do that.

It's not so much that he talked a good game, but rather he lied convincingly to his president, the nation, and ultimately to himself. Professing to go after the bad actors then doing nothing when the evidence was vast suggests a man on a mission to deceive.

@Bobby

My personal experience:

After law school I joined a prominent large Wall Street law firm. After I became a partner in the firm, I, and a couple other guys, began to realize that we were increasingly losing out in comparison to more profitable firms. We began to investigate and discovered that management was doling out perks (aka money) here and there to various less-productive and non-productive partners and staff, completely undermining merit and hard work. Of course the quid pro quo was reciprocal political support by the beneficiaries. Lost in the equation was 'focus on the mission', which, of course was (or should have been) simply providing excellent legal services to clients for good value. Once this focus was lost, the focus was on satisfying various interest groups inside the firm, not satisfying the clients! This was all totally insidious and not surprisingly it led to the eventual failure of the firm...which avoided total destruction only by a face-saving merger which masked the real truth of its failure.

How is the USA today different than my old law firm?

Expand full comment

The powers that be {the Deep State, the Uniparty, the FBMMI (Fed. Bureau of Missed and Missing Investigation), the DoIJ (Dept. of In-Justice), CUIA (Central Un-Intelligence Agency), etc. etc.} don't care about our moral and financial bankruptcy, they only care about maintaining power. There is no other mission for them.

But we are different than a failing law firm. Who could we "merge" with to save the day? Canada? Mexico? Both?

We are at that terminal point - only God can save us now. I believe it has come to this: 2 Chronicles 7:14 is our only way out. Those of us who know Him must repent and pray and seek Him. Then He will heal our land. It may already have begun, but we must not relax! There are some signs the general population, the so-called "common people" are truly waking up to the long scam. May it be so!

@Chuck

Are we different than a failing law firm? You are right...there is no face-saving merger partner.

But that doesn't mean that we won't 'fail'. I will go out on a limb and say our failure will be in destroying our culture and losing the respect of the rest of the world. And then our long journey back will begin.

Culture? I don't recall you being a culture warrior. What does "culture" mean? What's it based on?

I meant our historical, traditional culture. All of the things: family, religion, work ethic, commitment to freedom(s), and much more, which has historically distinguished the United States. All the things I grew up believing about the United States.

There is no difference and therein lies the rub. Our government is a mirror image of the corrupt corporations and they feed off each other with little regard to who gets hurt.

Very similar to my experience in NY Big Law. First few years after making partner was THE epiphany for me as to the limits of merit and client service in any large-scale hierarchy, especially, ones that hold themselves out as "partnerships."

I read military maneuvers on James Kuenstler's blog yesterday but hadn't seen them mentioned elsewhere. It was on Saturday mid-day that I saw what appeared to be a large drone flying about a mile north of my residence in a northeasterly direction. Then, shortly afterward, what looked like a TACAMO aircraft flying the same course at about a half-mile in altitude with the engines significantly throttled back at that height; maybe doing 100-150 knots. Couldn't believe what I was witnessing but didn't have my cellphone to get some video.
