Tulsi Gabbard will be flying in to Phoenix tonight to campaign for Kari Lake (running for governor). This is very big. Now, Tulsi’s big issue is war mongering elites. That’s front and center in Tulsi’s endorsement of Lake (via TGP):
Gabbard made the HUGE announcement last night on President Trump’s Truth Social platform, stating, “Kari Lake isn’t afraid to call out the warmongering elitist cabal of permanent Washington and the Military Industrial Complex, and their propagandists in the mainstream media.”
So, maybe Lake has national political ambitions. But for now Lake is an upfront, in your face, “always been and always will be” pro-lifer. Now that abortion politics has been shifted to the states by the SCOTUS, support for a strongly pro-life candidate for governor by Tulsi shows—at the least—that Tulsi is comfortable with such people. She won’t be endorsing or campaigning for anyone associated with the war mongering elite, but if you’re not a war monger she’s on your side—and it won’t matter how pro-life you are.
It’s a signal to conservatives, who voted for Trump after Trump’s outspokenly pro-abortion past statements.
On abortion politics generally, that’s very much in the news today. Dems—contrary to all social science and polling—thought they could save themselves in the midterms by making the midterms about abortion. That was never going to happen, because the US is, in it’s own weird way, a basically pro-life country. It had been a bastion of the culture of death only due to a judicial coup, but polling has consistently shown a fundamental pro-life basis amounting to a solid two thirds of the population—over decades and decades and in the face of overwhelming culture of death propaganda. That’s over, thanks to the Trump SCOTUS. Moreover, going forward, federal judicial nominees will likely be able to sidestep that issue far more easily. That will be important for the next GOP president.
So, with that, we learn that Zhou, surely at the order of his awful wife and handlers, is doubling down today on trying to get voters ignore the issues that confront them on a daily basis for one that does not. This is an insane strategy on several levels. Including the fact that it will energize pro-lifers to turn out in force—if there were any doubt that they would. Pro-Lifers, decade after decade, have been the GOP’s most loyal supporters. They vote, they vote their issue. What all this shows is just how out of touch Dems are with the country. Even the NYT has run articles about how suburban pro-abortion women are switching to the GOP over economic issues. These political operatives behind Zhou are not “pro-choice”. They’re abortion enthusiasts—an attitude that is anathema to the overwhelming majority of Americans. They’re the same people pushing all the other things that are enraging normals: drag shows for kids, transitioning little kids, multisex bathrooms and locker rooms, you name it.
Christopher Roach recently had an excellent article, that I’ve been keeping track of for a rainy day. It shows how abortion politics brings out the insane in the already loony left. This same dynamic can also be seen in the whole J6 theater, which is flopping on the national stage. The Dem approach is fundamentally offensive to normal Americans of virtually any political stripe:
The Federal Government is Treating Pro-Lifers Like They’re Al Qaeda
Federal law enforcement has too much time on its hands, can use vague and expansive laws to go after nearly anyone, and is too close to our ruling class in Washington, D.C. to restrain itself.
These crazies think that treating pro-lifers like domestic terrorists will turn out the abortion enthusiast voters in droves like they’ve never turned out before. How out of touch is that?
In the run-up to the midterm election, a quick review of the Democrats’ rhetoric shows that they think the country hates the pro-life movement. They have now gone beyond mere talk and are criminalizing dissent.
My personal experience is that while the country is fairly evenly divided on the question of abortion, many people in the middle have complex views. Pro-choice people often feel ambivalent about abortion, and no one likes to see the police treat mere protesters like common criminals.
The Biden Administration is trying to marginalize the pro-life movement, and one of the biggest sources of humiliation and demoralization is to bring the hammer of law enforcement down on otherwise law-abiding people. While this seems entirely unreasonable to everyone but the fiercest partisans, it also will have some of its intended effect by discouraging the movement’s activists.
See? It’s the same dynamic behind the J6 Insurrection hoax, and that hoax—the claim that MAGA Republicans are domestic terrorists—is rejected by all fair minded Americans, including large numbers of Dems. This is the mentality of fanatics, and they’re running the Dem party. More and more people are seeing this.

As RedState reported, Joe Biden and his handlers decided three weeks before the mid-terms would be the best time to double down on the left’s abortion obsession in the face of increasing political headwinds. Sure, it hadn’t worked thus far, but why not have another go at the brick wall, right?
By lunchtime on Tuesday, he had delivered his supposed landmark speech, and though it’s become completely cliche to say in response to Biden speaking publicly, things did not go well. I mean that without a hint of exaggeration. Things really, really did not go well.
On ABC local “news“ last night it was all about abortion in So. Ca.
