It appears that the Russian strikes on NATO personnel—most spectacularly in Poltava, but also reportedly in Lwiw and Krivoy Rog—are intended to send a message to NATO: Your talk of escalating, your actual escalations—all this has consequences. It can hardly be surprising that Russia would know the whereabouts of NATO personnel in Ukraine. Russian agents are probably everywhere in Ukraine, just as Ukraine has its agents in Russia—the blending of the nationalities makes this inevitable. So, Russia has always known, but the gloves are coming off. The message is that crazy behavior has consequences, and this is a sample.

It appears that the Kursk incursion has prompted Moscow to open the rules of engagement and be much more free with the Iskanders. Multiple large strikes on Ukrainian troop concentrations in rear areas this week - Poltava, Sumy, triple digit casualties.
Regarding the strike in Poltava, where casualties are reliably reported to have been much higher than official accounts would indicate, initial reports stated that Polish trainers were among the casualties—a kind of cherry on top for the Russians. But it seems there were two cherries on top, and the sweetness of the second cherry lies in the fact that Poltava is where Russia delivered a crushing defeat to the Swedish Empire’s army. We’re learning that the Swedes were also doing training in Poltava:
Theory goes that the Russians struck a training facility where the future aircrew of the Swedish donated Saab 340 AEW&C were being trained. Swedish instructors are among the dead. A Good Swedish journalist would ask the government about this to put the screws on them.

So here’s the backstory to the dead Swedes in Poltava to explain why this was so sweet for Russians who, unlike Westerners, know their history:

-lost 1/3 of its territory
-lost its ENTIRE army
-any dreams of being an empire
-a Royal House ( Charles XII)
It is the greatest military catastrophe in Swedish history.
This time will be even worse.

4/ 19,000 or so Swedes took part in the battle.
10,000 had been left on the field, 6,900 of whom were either dead or wounded, while another 2,800 were taken prisoners, including their commander, Field Marshal Renskjöld .

5/ joined the Swedish army in the battle:
The more things change, the more they remain the same.
The Russians lost far less :
Out of a combined total of over 40,000, they suffered 1,350 killed, and 3,300 wounded.
6/ Has Sweden learned anything ?
NO.
Sweden enters NATO late, when this terrorist organization, which is the American military control of Europe, is on its way to dustbins of history.
Instead of remaining neutral.
But, Sweden is under US control through EU.
7/ After the Russians finish with proxy Ukraine and Turkey is admitted to BRICS (Türkiye just submitted an application for membership ) , I don't see any future left for US NATO.
I predict that it will disintegrate. The same for EU.
Europe ????? Who knows .

Sadly, Ukraine is learning what many other states and peoples have learned over the previous decades. The United States is not a reliable partner/ally and almost never lives up to its rhetoric. Its foreign policy practitioners are a study in failure.

The US by claiming other nations cannot be allowed to influence the politics of the US, has indicted its own "National Endowment for Democracy" and the global network of interference it funds. By sanctioning RT, the US has set a precedent for other nations to more aggressively target & uproot NED-funded fronts.
It’s insane how objectively stupid all of this is. If we had played our cards even half-right over the last 30 years we could have lived off the labor of the rest of the world for centuries and everyone would have been happy to participate. But it was already rotten to the core. The intentions of the deep state were always evil and were always going to lead to the total destruction of the thing they crave the most.
What better example is there that humans can’t be trusted with unchecked power, and that power not only corrupts, it literally rots the brain. The stewards of the empire have failed so spectacularly that they now must destroy the host in order to survive for just a few more moments. This is a total societal failure.
I’m not saying I support the empire but looking at things objectively we made a horrible horrible error in freeing Russia of communism while we embraced it ourselves. Like a civilization-aborting mistake. Every ally is in flames now and their only response is fascism, censorship, and coups, not against some enemy but against the very source of their strength in the first place.
This country is a joke now, a punchline. The current executive branch is the worst in history by leaps and bounds, and it’s completely unchecked by any adult supervision.
Mark is there any faction left in the 3 letter agencies that understands any of this? All I see is rudderless little people who look terrified but somehow think they can still win a game that is so over.

 Putin says that one of the Nord Stream pipelines is still in working order, but for some reason, Europe does not want gas to run through it.
However, they are perfectly happy with Russian gas being delivered through the Ukrainian and Turkish pipelines.
