I really like the silent tip of the hat to the alternative media. There is nothing for official media to report on (apparently) but Klarenberg's tweet has over 1,000,000 views. For reference, the New York Times is reported to have 9.4 million subscribers. Russia sends a very detectable, very high profile plane to the US and the official sources have nothing to say.

Who is Kit Klarenberg? I am not familiar with her.

Prisoner swap, US - Russia. That's what the flight was about.

So Operation Enduring Stupidity is about to come to an ignominious end! Huh, didn’t see that coming, what with Uncle Joe’s steady hand at the wheel of the Ship of State and the brilliant and insightful strategic thinking of folks like Blinken, Sullivan and good ol’ Vicky Nuland it was only a matter of time and several bazillion dollars before Putin threw up his hands and came contritely to the peace table for a nice serving of freshly roasted crow! Well that’s the fantasy that these buffoons keep pushing, but reality is about to come knocking and is going to take a large bite right out of their collective asses. The old adage remains true, “you just cannot fix stupid”, especially when it comes in the large economy size.

Interesting perspective overall and much appreciated. If tis true Russia representatives are flying to DC then that is at the request of the White House administration.

Speaking of throwing the "bone" to the Europeans to resolve on their own. The Duran guys had an interesting take recently on German chancellor Olaf Scholz. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUweBkipIqs

Seems Scholz is passing blame on Nordstream episode while his approval ratings continue to drop. His message to all of Europe seems like a cry for help.

Sarcastic Cynical Texan beat me to the punch. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

After working for the US Government for many years, I came to see the idiocy of our elected leaders, agency directors and senior executive leaders.

As far as I'm concerned, since about 1990, I'd call the game "How to ruin a superpower in less than 35 years." To think I voted for George H. W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush (twice), John McCain and Pierre Delecto. At least I can say I held my nose with McCain and Delecto and I was apprehensive about the second Bush, with his "compassionate conservatism."

American foreign policy for most of my 61 years on this rock, can be characterized as: play stupid games, win stupid prizes. We the people are about to receive the grand sweepstakes prize, the total destruction of our national credibility, other nations will never trust the USSA to abide by any agreements past, present or future. The extra super bonus prize of domestic economic and societal collapse is gaining momentum daily.

I saw the tweet from Klarenberg. Baron Tiaga tweeted the plane could be picking up Russian diplomats or possibly a prisoner swap. Very little coverage of what should be a BIG story

You mean we're giving up Biden?! Oh Happy Day! Christmas came early this year.

I didn't see that tweet, but I saw speculation that was similar. Klarenberg was adamant that this specific plane is reserved for very high level officials as named. But I know nothing about those specifics. It does sound like an unusual event.

OK, I can agree with most of that. I might quibble about the location as being in Europe, given Russia's many derogatory references to NATO countries not being independent actors. Like you, I'm puzzled by the lack of official references. Yet this doesn't appear to be a routine flight. But outside my area of knowledge.
