All the rulers of the nations of the earth, in spite of their antagonisms, suddenly participate in the same lies and punishing of dissenters for going on 3 years now.

There are no humans on the earth at this time capable of planning coordinating and executing this; not the WEF, WHO, UN, US - not any or all of them. It originates with and is guided by the Evil One in the spiritual realm.

Do not comply.

Were it not for enslavement of US taxpayers to it, the massive parasite of the US military dictatorship, wouldn't exist, couldn't go around flattening the world, 78 years and counting. There will be no 'negotiations' with Russia, just as there are no negotiations with the American people. You want a southern border? HaHaHaHa...Someone had to stop the US, Inc. parasite. As a US taxpayer I relate very much to the Russian Federation. US, Inc. has treated both of us like subhuman garbage for decades. It has made me sick to watch intelligent, informed Russian officials treated as if they don't exist. 25 million Russian people died in WWII defeating Hitler. That fact was missing from history books when I was in school. Best wishes to the Russian Federation in its efforts.

I have been reading your Meaning in History since before Substack.

This is the most pessimistic post you have done.

It is not a criticism, just I am concerned you may be letting all this great daily reporting you do wear you down.

I don't think that's it. I've been thinking about some of this for several days. It's hard not to be pessimistic at times, when you realize the forces arrayed against us.

The District of Corruption Empire has gotten so rotten that it is a risk to the rest of the world, no longer just a risk to its own denizens and vassals. A demented President* and his entire freakshow administration, a delusional, dis-informed population, over financialization and de-industrial policies, a shining city on the hill, not really, a giant burning garbage heap is more like it.

Why now on splashing the drone?

1. Russians got tired of being “legally” spied on?

2. US tried for a deliberate provocation by turning off the transponder?

3. Russia is sending a message. Goes along with the hypersonic missile strikes targeting places with NATO Advisers.

4. Russian pilot taking initiative.

All 4 but 3 is the big one. The Russians are saying that from now on, it's only fair that those who are stoking global conflict and conflagration pay a PERSONAL price for their actions.

Probably all 4! I would say a US drone flying very near Crimea with the transponder off was a good enough reason to down it. Simplicus has a great post on this incident https://simplicius76.substack.com/p/breaking-russian-su-27s-finally-down

Shot: "According to Yellen, the legalization of abortion nationally 'helped lead to increased labor-force participation. It enabled many women to finish school; that increased their earning potential.'"

Chaser: "The financial system is not supporting the industrial base and the US has come to think of its problems in pure dollar terms."

Labor-force participation. Industrial base.

Needless to say, those of us who grew up in the 1970s got the message loud and clear that working in a factory was hell, and no one should be consigned to hell by reason of birth. Therefore all Americans should go to college and get a college degree and a desk job. Especially women, who should control parturition by abortion if necessary.

By the 2000s, it was right and just to ship our dirty manufacturing to China because developmentally, they needed that work while we were ready to move on into clean green knowledge work, and we would get paid royally for our unparalleled creativity.

DiMartino-Booth refers to the era of zero interest rates, in which "...you [the little guy or gal] can't make a decent yield on cash savings." Yes, ZIRP was unfair to the little guys and gals who didn't want to run out and buy stuff.

I recall AfD (Alternative for Deutschland) which emerged in Germany after the 2008 financial crisis with the simple slogan "Save Our Savers". Ordinary people in Germany did not want to bail out the PIGS. So AfD had to be kneecapped; it was discredited by linking it with far-right agitation that coincided neatly with mass migration from Syria and elsewhere.

That last minute of Mercouris’ video was particularly moving. No-limits foreign policy, in which we throw our weight around instead of accepting other countries’ sovereign rights, carries over into no-limits monetary policy with the gov rescuing all those deep-pocket techies and big bucks donors…a real eye-opener - I’m just realizing what the consequences (yesterday’s post!) of such utter detachment from reality may be. Things are pretty bad when the Chinese sound moderate and rational!

This confirms that the drone was flying with transponders turned off and was attempting to approach the Russian ships that were launching missile strikes.

Full statement of Ministry of Defense of Russia:

On the morning of March 14 this year, an American MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle flew over the Black Sea near the Crimean Peninsula by means of the airspace control of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the direction of the State Border of the Russian Federation.

**The flight of the unmanned aerial vehicle was carried out with the transponders turned off, violating the boundaries of the area of the temporary regime for the use of airspace established for the purpose of conducting a special military operation, communicated to all users of international airspace and published in accordance with international standards.**

In order to identify the violator, fighters from the air defense forces on duty were lifted into the air. As a result of sharp maneuvering around 9.30 (Moscow time), the MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle went into an uncontrolled flight with a loss of altitude and collided with the water surface.

The Russian fighters did not use airborne weapons, did not come into contact with the unmanned aerial vehicle and returned safely to the home airfield.

Powell is bringing a forest fire to the US (and global) economy. Like all forest fires, it will burn off massive amounts of dead wood. The question for me is how much healthy forest will be left to grow back afterward.

I would not be surprised at all if Russian EW capabilities were the means used to put the MQ-9 UAV into 'uncontrolled flight' . . . meaning not controlled by the USAF anymore. The propeller hit narrative reeks of BS and spin.

Precisely the reason for Putin's early-on characterization of the Clintonista, post-Realpolitik West as недоговороспособныe, or non-agreement-capable. Those blinded by dogma and academic theory will never be able to perform a reality-based assessment of exactly what can reasonably be achieved and conceded in a productive, real-world negotiation.
