Netanyahu has dissolved his “war cabinet,” due to lack of support for his handling of Israel’s war on the Middle East. It’s not totally clear how much support Netanyahu had for this War To Defeat All Enemies. I presume that he did have considerable support from the IOF, on the assumption that Netanyahu was the guy who could deliver US participation in the war. Not just support. Full on participation, like another Gulf War or Desert Storm. Carrier air strikes and munitions out the wazoo won’t be nearly enough to prevent catastrophe for Israel. US support hasn’t materialized, simply because America retains enough independence from Zionists to recognize that another Middle East war of that sort will be a disaster for the Anglo-Zionist empire. Nevertheless, the short term effect of Netanyahu’s action in dissolving the war cabinet is to place him further under control of the ultra crazy wing of Israeli politics—as opposed to just the normal crazy wing.
Of course, Hezbollah gets a say in all this, and they’re being very clear. Bear in mind that Cyprus, a US/UK colony for military purposes, is key to the war effort against Hezbollah:
Megatron @Megatron_ron
BREAKING:
 Hezbollah's leader Nasrallah:
"If Cyprus opens its airports to Israeli warplanes, we will attack Cyprus too"
Most important parts of his today's speech:
- We have intel that the Israeli Air Force is training in Cyprus, to use its airports. We warn Cyprus, if it opens its airports to Israel during a potential war, we will treat it as a part of the war
- Hezbollah's manpower 'far exceeds 100.000'
- Invading the Galilee remains a definite possibility'
- There will be a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th episode of several Israeli cities recorded by the Hudhud drone. We have footage of Haifa, before Haifa, beyond Haifa, and beyond what is beyond Haifa.'
- The enemy knows that there is not a single point within the Zionist entity which we cannot reach.
- In case of total war, every single ATGM, missile and drone will be fired at accurately pre-selected targets.
- The enemy must also know that what awaits them in the Mediterranean Sea is not to be underestimated.'
- The enemy must expect us to come by air, land and sea. In case of an imposed war on Lebanon, the Resistance will fight with no boundaries. We will abide by no equations, nor any laws. Let the Zionist enemy and their American masters hear this carefully.'
- Nothing will stop us from carrying out our duty with regards to Gaza. The only solution to closing the fronts in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq is simple: Stop the war on Gaza and our Palestinian people.'
@Spectator_MENA
Obviously, Hezbollah is warning everyone concerned that its reach is far greater than it has demonstrated—nobody doubts that—and that they will use their full capabilities. The reference to the Mediterranean looks like warning not only to Israel but also the US navy. If a US carrier participates in attacks on Hezbollah, we’ll find out what types of anti-ship missiles they have. And just now Megatron has some updates:
The U.S. Special Envoy, Amos Hochstein, announces that diplomatic efforts to calm tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have officially failed, as Hezbollah squarely refuses any negotiation.
Hezbollah's leader Nasrallah:
"All the weapons that were supposed to reach Lebanon have already arrived
The weapons will be revealed when needed, and we have new weapons to introduce
We produce some of the rockets we need
We have a large amount of drones because we produce them"
In that regard, there was an interesting bit of disinformation this morning:
Fake, USS Gerald Ford is in Norfolk Naval Station, Virginia, where it is conducting routine maintenance.
Quote
Mossad Commentary @MOSSADil
The aircraft carrier Gerald Ford and the accompanying fleet are on their way to the coast of Haifa in the north of the country.
The USS Eisenhower is still in the region, and that fact speaks volumes about how unprepared the US is for the type of war that Netanyahu needs:
Sailors on the USS Eisenhower are getting sick of defending Israel's "right" to commit genocide, and are desperate to return home, but their commanders can't replace them. So they must continue risking their lives for a foreign apartheid state. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/us-aircraft-carrier-crew-fought-houthi-attacks-months-111244374…
Further, Putin made clear in North Korea that Neocon escalation against Russia—specifically including nuclear capable F-16s—will lead too asymmetric responses from Russia, including transfer of tech and weapons to third parties, including North Korea. Wanna bet that that won’t happen in the Middle East? Maybe has already happened?
Here are Larry Johnson’s concluding paragraphs today:
The combined crises in Israel and Ukraine present the Biden Administration with a migraine headache of massive proportions. Despite all of the bellicose statements by Sullivan, Kirby and Biden, there is nothing the United States can do to alter the trajectory of Ukraine’s defeat. The Biden crowd is just praying the collapse comes after the November elections.
Israel is a real wild card. While the United States has the power to shut off Israeli military adventures, the Biden team appears committed to supporting the IOF no matter what. If the IOF chooses to go ahead with its foolish invasion of southern Lebanon, Biden and company are likely to find themselves scrambling to figure out how to save Israel from a military debacle. That will be a nightmare for Biden’s re-election effort, assuming he is still upright and in the running.
To finish up, I want to recommend two videos. First is an hour long discussion with Danny Davis and Doug Macgregor. Mac is totally on fire on all sorts of topics. One item that jumped out at me was this. He says that Russian fighters are actively probing Baltic air space, turning their transponders off, testing NATO preparedness. Right. It’s almost as if the Russians are preparing a response to F-16s taking off from NATO airfields for destinations east.
The overall theme, as also in the next video, is the complete and utter disaster US foreign policy has become. Our Jewish leaders have, for their own reasons, placed use in multiple no-win situations, but are too stubborn to eat some crow and extricate us.
Col. Douglas Macgregor - Latest on Ukraine & Putin's NOKO visit
By the way, Mac quotes John Mearsheimer, approvingly, from this next video. I’ll simply extract a few of the pithiest statements from the half hour Mearsheimer video. Overall, this is a very strong performance by Mearsheimer. He strongly maintains what has been my view, that the US realizes that a Middle East war would likely turn into our worst nightmare. That’s the kind of thing you should think about before commiting to attacking Russia. Remember the days of Sullivan’s famous All Quiet On The Middle East Front? Neocons are always too clever by half, always assume that their wishes dictate reality. And it never turns out that way.
I think the Gaza war is one that Zhou is desperate to shut down. I mean I think that all of this talk about a ceasefire, a three-phase plan for putting an end to this war which the Americans are pushing very hard, is all designed to help Biden win in the November election.
The Israelis have no interest--let me put it differently--prime minister Netanyahu has no interest in putting that ceasefire into place because if he did his government would collapse and that's the last thing he wants.
What does Netanyahu propose to do with Hezbollah and are his proposals, as far as you can understand them, realistic?
The Israelis are desperate to do something [due to the enormous pressure Hezbollah is exerting as well as due to economic constraints], but their only options are military. They now say that the plans are in place, that they're going to go to war against Hezbollah and they are going to eliminate Hezbollah--in the same way that they have eliminated Hamas. Which is to say, they haven't eliminated Hamas and they're not going to eliminate Hezbollah, and they're going to find themselves in another quagmire.
Israel basically is the tail that wags the American dog.
The United States derives no benefit from its relationship to Israel. That's what The Lobby is all about. If our relationship with Israel made strategic and moral sense there would be no need for an Israel Lobby. We would just behave the way we now behave towards Israel because it would be in our strategic interest and because it would be the morally correct thing to do. It's because unquestioning support for Israel—up to and including genocide— is not in our strategic interest and because it's not the morally correct thing to do that you have this incredibly powerful Lobby that works overtime to push our policy in a pro-Israel Direction. This Is why AIPAC has minders for every person on Capitol Hill. AIPAC understands that if these people were free to vote according to what they thought was in America's strategic interest or what was ethically or morally correct, the United States would have a fundamentally different policy.
Russian President Putin is in North Korea could this have happened without China's blessing? I would imagine that the Russians went to great lengths to clear this with the Chinese.
Not too long ago we were working with the Russians and the Chinese to put pressure on North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons. Those days are long gone and there's no way we could ever get the Russians and the Chinese to help us coerce the North Koreans into giving up their nuclear weapons. And, by the way, this has influence for how you think about Iran. The Iranians are clearly moving down the nuclear road. Pushed down that road by the crazed Neocons.
The 74 year old grandparents are hosting their 5 year old grandson as of right now, in prep for the arrival of a new grandson. Posting will likely be affected.
The monumental changes coming may not come soon enough to save the Palestinians but we will all owe them a debt of gratitude for their suffering, which is truly changing the world. The fall of the US and Israel will negatively affect a lot of lives in the US, mine included, but it is necessary for a more just world to emerge. If the Palestinians must endure an attempted genocide then how can I lament the likely to be strictly financial losses I will bear?
Will Israel commit suicide by cop by razing Lebanon? Will the US hang them out to dry or follow them into the fires of hell? I’m beginning to think it’s hang them out to dry. As Mearshimer says, nobody supports Israel from a moral standpoint. Without morality there’s little chance for actual bravery, and actual bravery is required to make the sacrifices it will take to make the world safe for Israel’s aggression. They have no prayer beyond nuclear Armageddon, all conventional roads lead to total defeat. Yes they can do some damage and kill a lot of people but the cost will be the total destruction of the holy land.
Israel as a concept is already finished. There is no scenario in which they can regain the air of safety and invincibility. It’s really pathetic how this has panned out over the years, it’s a cautionary tale of morality. Tricking people into condoning genocide can only take you so far. And relying on the US has only ever led to ruin for any country. This will be no different.
