Russia made clear that it would not tolerate Ukraine admission to NATO. The West began to seriously consider admission, and along with numerous provocations (2014 coup, shelling of the Donbas), Russia invaded Ukraine - a completely predictable act.

Now the West is provoking additional escalation by Russia by supplying long range weapons to Ukraine. Russia has made clear that it will not be tolerated. What will be the response? We shall find out.

No one benefits from these weapons. They will prolong the war that Ukraine will lose, and more men will die. I recently read that the US is pressuring Ukraine to lower its conscription age to 18. These people are ghouls. There will be no young men left to populate and father children for the Ukraine that survives. Maybe the idea for repopulating Ukraine is migrants from the ME chaos?

As our esteemed war mongers in the US Senate have exclaimed just as long as it's now American soldiers they don't care they are after Russia's resources and Israel is after revenge. Yes, there are benefits, but only for a limited and small group of people who wish to rule the world and confiscate resources for their own use and profit. This a pure aggression by the Anglo-Zionist cabal with the chumps on the continent as willing dupes.

As strange as it may seem, forced conscription in the U.S. and/or Europe would likely put an end to all this elite intrigue and its resulting carnage through massive social disobedience. On the other hand, our "leaders" seem to want to liquidate the "native" populations. Perhaps we shall see who wins.

There are some very vulnerable US bases.

Expand full comment

Yes, there are. but the question is, do they care?

Expand full comment

It's a valid question, Cosmo. What can the Russians do that will scare off the neocons without igniting WW3? The neocons certainly don't care about more Ukr soldiers dying, or people in Kiev spending more time without heat or lighting. The hope - and it is only that - is that by doing something like helping a proxy to take out illegal US bases or Western drones over the Black Sea, it might wake up those around the neocons to the fact that there is no merit in going down with the Titanic.

I'd love to see Putin give Syria effective air defense and retaliation capability. Hit Israel hard enough and its USUKEU vassal states will squeal like pigs.

Expand full comment

Exactly. Syria's been taking serious hits for too long. Hezbollah and Iran can look after themselves, but Syria seems vulnerable.

Mark, this is totally off topic. However, I thought this essay would likely be of interest to you as you often write on this topic:

Just passing it along. Best to you.

It’s an amazing analysis isn’t it?!

Yes and it is broad enough to hit on a lot of different posts and discussions Mark and us commenters have had on this site. To me it makes a lot of sense and one can see the "anarcho tyranny" and increasing tribalism he references play out before our eyes.

Well it’ll probably get me banned, but these dumb sons a bitches are not gonna f**king stop until they start a war!!! They keep writing checks that they can’t possibly cash!!! I’m so damn sick and tired of these assholes and their reckless incompetence, guess they’ll finally be happy when everyone is dead and they can rule over the ashes.

Sums it up perfectly. This is zero sum territory. Neocons never accept second place.

They may not accept second place, but that's where they land (or lower).

Is it reckless incompetence or is it something like Cloward Piven in foreign affairs to destroy the post WW2 order? Or some of each with a large number of useful idiots being used by a small group who want a different world order?

Expand full comment

Sometimes it seems like this. If they really did want to destroy the world, what would they do differently? However, I think there's a vast amount of arrogance and stupidity in the mix as well. These people live in a bubble and really do believe their own propaganda about being the reality-makers.

I’m sure that in their twisted little minds that’s exactly what they think, but they would do well to heed Robert Burns classic line that “the best laid plans of mice and men do oft go agly” ( not sure that’s the correct spelling on agly, sorry) but the “new world” might have no order in it and whatever is left probably won’t be worth ruling over. At least we have the cheerful thought that these clowns have a slow, painful and lingering death from radiation poisoning.

Who benefits?

Expand full comment

In theory? They do. "They" being the usual grubby little neocons and globalists like Schwab, Gates, Nuland, etc. In practice, no-one, because they won't be around to enjoy their "victory", and probably us neither.

They'll be around in their bunkers somewhere in Paradise (now) Lost. Waiting for the moment when, like rats, to poke their heads out to see if it's safe to leave their protected underground castle.

Expand full comment

Maybe, Kat, but I have a feeling that the Russians know where those bunkers are and have enough precision in their armoury to take them out.

That's pretty much what they want.

Is Israel sending arms to Ukraine?

Expand full comment

Early warning systems are being supplied by Israel to Ukraine.

Israel has a policy of Israel first on arms sales, and helped China develop aircraft with US technology before the U.S. stopped it. Israel also has among the most aggressive spy networks in Silicon Valley. And Epstein may have had an Israeli intelligence angle for the blackmail he did.

Plus the Ukrainian leadership has some ties to Israel.

I knew there were a lot of connections b.t. Israel and Ukraine, but wasn't sure re arms exchanges so thanks.

Igor Kolomoisky, for instance, the Ukro oligarch who funded Zelensky & also the Azov and Aidar neonazi militias, is a Zionist with triple Ukro, Israeli, Cyprus citizenship.

I’m thinking someplace that would use it immediately against a western target, such as a base.

Iraq and Syria are my guess.

Africa would be too messy.

But giving a couple of hypersonic missiles to U.S. enemies would destabilize the arms balance in many areas. Or Russian air defenses to Syria and Iran.

I never understood why the war in Viet Nam Was necessary on the other side of the world while the Cuban communist government has been spreading the revolution everywhere they can in this hemisphere. Why not a serious attempt to destroy that regime? The domino theory seems to be happening in our back yard. Monroe Doctrine? What will life be like if the rest of the hemisphere is made up of the Chinese Global Greater Prosperity Sphere? Is this incompetence? Fight useless wars and avoid those that seem related to the defense of our own garden?
