The ruling class is getting nervous, so they’re putting out stories about the pandemic of the unvaxxed. For example:
New England Covid cases rise as delta hits the unvaccinated
Vermont and New Hampshire have seen two of the largest increases in the U.S. in the past two weeks, respectively rising by 60 percent and 56 percent, an NBC News analysis found.
If you bother to read this article you’ll quickly discover that it’s full of what could be called “seat of the pants epidemiology”—anecdotalism on steroids. And we all know from Little Tony how worthless anecdotal evidence is. Well, it may be or it may not be worthless, but it does require further inquiry to confirm any conclusions. Especially by news organizations, to avoid spreading panic and dismay.
For example:
Two-week Covid case counts are up in every state in the region except for Connecticut, according to data compiled by NBC News — a stark reminder that unvaccinated people continue to face a serious risk from the delta variant of the coronavirus even in areas with high vaccination rates.
We start with an assertion—it’s the unvaxxed who are at risk—which is immediately contradicted:
Dr. Jan Carney, associate dean for public health at the University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine, said that the state has recorded some breakthrough infections among fully vaccinated people but that the current rise in cases is driven mostly by the spread of the highly contagious delta variant among unvaccinated people.
What percentage is “some”? What percentage is “mostly”? I can tell you that in my state of IL deaths of the vaxxed have been running as high as 40-50% of the totals. I call that percentage “more than some.” But Dr. Jan is being coy with us. Isn’t it his job to know these things, or doesn’t Vermont collect this information?
“These are areas that also have the lowest vaccination rates in the state,” she said. “So that confirms that these factors are all working together, and it’s why we’re continuing to emphasize the essentialness of vaccines as our primary prevention strategy.”
Whoa! “So that confirms” … what does it confirm?
…
“Most recently we’ve seen some folks in the [intensive care unit] who are in the age groups of anywhere from 45 and 60, and I can definitely tell you these are unvaccinated individuals,” Khole said.
No doubt you have, but … is it too much to ask, for you to provide some numbers?
“People between ages 12 and 35 dominate new cases right now. And a lot of this population has not been vaccinated by a single dose.”
“A lot.” Thanks—a lot! Also, “dominate new cases”? Color me skeptical. I’m from Missouri, and I want to see the numbers.
Meanwhile, in CT, stuff is happening, and the NYPost tells us all about it. With actual numbers.
COVID-19 outbreak at Connecticut nursing home kills 8, infects 89
Percentages? I’m glad you asked:
Of the 89 people infected, 87 staffers and residents were fully vaccinated at the nursing home, which houses only 70 residents, NECN reported.
87 out of 89? I’d call that “a lot.” I’d even go so far as to call that “mostly.”
And what makes it all the more baffling is this:
All staff at the facility are continuing to wear masks while “practicing heightened infection control procedures,” a statement on its website reads.
“In addition, we are proud that 99% of our staff have chosen to become vaccinated,” the statement continued. “Unfortunately, none of this is a guarantee — there are reports of vaccinated individuals testing positive for Covid.”
“There are reports of vaccinated individuals testing positive for Covid”? Do tell! How about reports of vaccinated individuals dying from Covid? If you didn’t hear those reports before, you have now, right?
All in-person visits at the nursing home are suspended amid the outbreak, but relatives can set up virtual meetings or meet loved ones through a window. Geer Village first announced three positive cases among residents and staff who were fully vaccinated on Oct. 3.
One wonders. Did they considered whether the outbreak came via their own vaxxed staff, before cutting these unfortunates off from their loved ones? Have they read the reports that I’ve read, the ones that document that vaxxed people can be just as infectious, with just as high a viral load, as unvaxxed people? Or is that one of those issues that can’t be spoken of in public? Well, in fairness, the staff are all wearing masks, so that’s OK, right? Follow the science! Or, whatever.
Residents and employees can get a booster shot once the facility has gone two weeks without any new cases, administrators said.
That’ll do it. Wait till they read the Israeli study. Or maybe they don’t bother keeping up with that, like, scientific stuff.

It just keeps coming… (dominos falling?)…
“The Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has suspended the enforcement of the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for private businesses.
The announcement came shortly after a U.S. appeals court rejected a challenge by the Biden administration on Nov. 12 and reaffirmed its decision to put on hold OSHA’s mandate, which requires that businesses with 100 employees or more ensure that workers either be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Jan. 4, 2022, or be tested weekly and wear a mask.”
